Dovecot 2.0 shared mailbox using ACLs problem
Hi, I'm trying to configure shared mailboxes using ACLs. On dovecot 1.2.10 it works fine, but the same configuration on dovecot 2.0. beta4 doesn't work. When I try to access to the shared mailbox I get the following message: Query: SELECT "users/user2/INBOX" Reason Given: Mailbox doesn't exist: users/user2/INBOX In the next the dovecot -n output and the dovecot-ldap.conf

...something is still wrong. On the shared folders the commands "select" and "examine" work only the first time: -------%<-------------------------------------------------------- 3 select "shared/user1 at pec.inail.gov.it" * FLAGS (\Answered \Flagged \Deleted \Seen \Draft Junk) * OK [PERMANENTFLAGS (\Answered \Flagged \Deleted \Seen \Draft Junk \*)] Flags

R: Re: LMTP : Can't handle mixed proxy/non-proxy destinations
Hi Timo, I'm writing to alert you that even in version 2.1. we have the error: "Can't handle mixed proxy/non-proxy destinations" when we write to two users: one existent and one not. The error occurs randomly. I configure LDAP query in the file : dovecot-ldap.conf in this way: pass_attrs = mail=user, userPassword=password,=proxy=y,mailHost=host, =proxy_timeout=600

corrupted binary tree and index data files
Hi. I am using dovecot 0.99.14 as an imaps server with mbox folders (in an NFS-mounted directory) in x86 Debian testing. I have searched the archives of this list and have seen other evidence of the problems I am having. I get lots of log messages like these: Jul 29 07:47:09 HOST imap(USER): Corrupted binary tree file /home/USER/IMAP_MBOX_DIR/.imap/INBOX/.imap.index.tree: UID to be inserted

1.1.7: quota problem, unable to delete mails when quota exceeded
Hi, When user exceeds it's quota then dovecot can't create it's files and it's showing zero mails :( This also means that user is unable to delete it's own mails. Sounds like kind-of bug, right? Kernel panic in dovecot-ee-lmtp on Debian 8
Hi list I just realized that that I don not receive all mails in my mailbox (running dovecot-ee 2.2.23.1-1 on Debian 8). On my frontend servers (running postfix) the queue fills up with mails that cannot be delivered via lmtp to my backend servers. The error message on the frontend is "lost connection with backend while sending data" When I checked the logs on the backend server I found

Particular user post-login hang
Greets, I'm using dovecot 2.0.9 (also tried rolling back to 2.0.8 which does the same - the output below is from 2.0.8), and this problem is imap specific. The following is a recurring problem with a specific user - as far as we can tell, other users are working just fine (there are thousands); but I bet there are others. In a nutshell: User authenticates OK, then the imap process hangs.

Dict issue with PostgreSQL for last_login plugin (duplicate key)
Hello, I am trying to setup the last_login plugin on Dovecot 2.3 in order to log a user's last IMAP login into a separate PostgreSQL table called last_login. I am actually following that guide: https://docs.iredmail.org/track.user.last.login.html with the exception that I use PostgreSQL instead of MySQL. So far it works at least for the very first login of a user but it looks like Dict

Flags/tags lost when moving e-mails to another folder
Hi, I have an issue with e-mail tags/flags. The IMAP user is using Thunderbird or Roundcube with Thunderbird tags. When the user (with an IMAP client) moves an e-mail from a folder to another, tags set on the e-mail are lost. When we check the filesystem, we can see the "a" tag: -rw-rw---- 2 test mailusers 2498 Dec 29 15:31

Ampersand in Folder names causing folders to disappear?
Hi All, Dovecot 1.0.rc7 Not sure if this is a problem with Outlook, or with Dovecot, or to do with encoding in Linux. Whenever a user enters an ampersand into an IMAP folder name, it dissapears from outlook. These folders appear on the ext3 filesystem as &- for example drwx------ 5 mailusers mailusers 4096 2006-10-10 17:54 .INBOX.Networks.London Networks.NDCs.WH&-P joint working
