php + Informix IDS via IFX Module Howto for Centos5
Dear all I've come out with a howto that I wish to contribute back to the community. This howto is actually a sort of a draft that I made for my own "self-reminder". It was an interesting experience collating the data to eventually come out with the stuffs. I hope it is useful enough to someone not to go through the same "hell/happy hunting grounds" The said howto is

Fedora source packages on Centos -- libtiff again
In my seeking a managable way to build libtiff, on the Asterfax forum I got the following recommendation (from another fax user that made the move to libtiff 3.8.2): ================================================================ Hi Robert, I have compiled libtiff-3.8.2 from the source package for my Fedora Core 4 machine. I am not sure about CentOS, but I think you can try to do the same

libtiff 3.6.1 and Asterisk spandsp
Per: http://soft-switch.org/spandsp_faq/ar01s07.html FAXing with spandsp keeps giving me core dumps. Its crap, isn't it? Actually the crap in this case is probably libtiff. Versions 3.5.7 and 3.6.0 seem reliable. The FAX image handling in version 3.6.1 is broken. All the core dump problems I have investigated turned out to be due to a very old version of libtiff, or version 3.6.1. I am

Via google: libtiff 3.8.2 http://rpm.pbone.net/index.php3/stat/4/idpl/2839214/com/libtiff-3.8.2-2.x86_64.rpm.html This got me to a page all about libtiff 3.8.2 for 'Fedora other' and a link http://rpm.pbone.net/index.php3?stat=3&search=libtiff&srodzaj=3 for other distributions. So which do I take? ?

Hello, I have a couple of questions: 1) Before heading off for a bit of vacation, I was having a wierd problem where I was getting more than one call per callfile placed in the outgoing/ spool. I describe it here: http://forums.digium.com/viewtopic.php?t=3455 so far, so good - it's not doing it right now, but what might cause that? 2) app_txfax I need to know if a fax has gone through

fax support
Hi all, I have read many forums and discussion groups talking about fax support in asterisk. Some of them conclude that asterisk doesn't support fax. However, some of them conclude that there is no relationship between fax and asterisk as asterisk will only pass the fax signal to the fax machine. I have tried the fax in asterisk before but failed. Anyone can give me some guideline how to

Best email client for Asterfax
Hi, Asterfex seems promising providing email to fax services. With it, to send a fax to Mr Foo whose fax number is 123456789, an end user just has to use its favorite email client and fill destination field (To:) with 123456789@fax.local. I'm looking for an email client I could personnalize (configure ? use or develop a plugin ?) so that end users would only have to type callee's name

1-60 Horde Leveling Guide for World of Warcraft
I either play a male character named Mancow or a female character named Joana. I have been first to 60 now on 6 different servers, one of my goals with World of Warcraft is to get to 60 on new servers with the least amount of /played time possible, this means each time I went to 60 in WoW I have been revising my routes in order to achieve a better /played time. So far my best time is 4 days 20

cpu leveling on opensource xen on sles
We currently run xen on sles11sp1 and sles11sp2. Our hardware is HP Compaq DL360''s. We originally started with G6''s, but now we''ve grown and have G7''s and G8''s in the mix. We don''t do a lot of live migrations but is convenient to be able to at times. Is there any type of cpu leveling that can be done so live migrations will work with servers

/etc/msg.sock folder questions regarding nvram/wear leveling.
Hi, i try to create a openWRT Samba 4.3 package and stumbled across the fact that samba 4.3 will create those message socks inside the private-dir. That results in creating entries inside /etc/samba/msg.sock. On openWRT /var is a tempFS in ram, so anything there is not a problem regarding nvram and wear leveling. Yet the root uses a jffs2 overlay. So while those message socks have no size, jffs2
