Upgrading dovecot 2.2 to 2.3 without downtime when using proxy/director?

Have you set director_consistent_hashing=yes in the old directors? That is needed now, because the old non-consistent-hashing method is obsoleted. Unfortunately there's no easy

Upgrading dovecot 2.2 to 2.3 without downtime when using proxy/director?
Hi, I have a setup with several dovecot-servers (2.2.35) and I use dovecot proxy. I upgraded one server to 2.3.1 and got the configs fixed so far that it started again. But when I tried to add it into the proxying again with "doveadm director add" I see the following in the logfiles: May 6 07:19:30 host dovecot: director: Warning: Director xxx.xxx.xxx.176:9090/out disconnected us with

dovecot.org broken
Multiple mirrors (seems like you have plenty of offers) preferrably is multi geographical regions, using DNS round robin with TTL 0 on www and ftp , I wouldnt bother with the wiki mirroring though. However you could run 3600 seconds on it, should you need to bring it back elsewhere in a hurry. On Sun, Apr 24, 2011 at 1:19 AM, Timo Sirainen <tss at iki.fi> wrote: > On Thu, 2011-04-21

dovecot.org broken
Serving it temporarily from a machine in my home. I'll move it to better hosting in a few days. And I guess I should make it more fail safe some day soon.. Lets see if mailman happens to work now.

dovecot.org mirrors?
On Tue, 2011-04-26 at 19:35 +0300, Timo Sirainen wrote: > I was also planning on adding some mirroring by adding 2+ A records to > some names: The mirroring setup is finished. There's a master server now handling dovecot.org and a mirror server handling www/hg/wiki. Would be nice to get another reliable fast mirror server if someone wants to donate one :) Requirements are: - Apache2

[fdo] gabe (and some other, smaller) downtime upcoming weekend
Hi all, gabe is currently running an old version of Debian on slowly dying hardware. This weekend (most likely starting Friday evening, UTC), I'll upgrade it to a newer release as well as moving it to a VM. This will take some hours, and since it's vaguely complex, I'm marking the whole weeked as ?maintenance?, so it'll come and go a little bit. Most visibly affected service is

[LLVMdev] Possible llvm.org Downtime
Dear All, On Monday, March 17, the computer science building will have its cooling system turned off for maintenance. During that time, the offices and computer labs in the building may get warm, and as a consequence, we may need to power off machines. While I am hoping that down time will be unnecessary, we may need to power down llvm.org during the cooling outage. It is also possible

Dovecot stones
For the last few days I've been thinking about my company and what it really should do, and as much as the current plan seems reasonable, I think in good conscience I really can't help but to bring up an alternative plan: The support for Dovecot is quite good already, but wouldn't it be better if it was GUARANTEED that your email server was ALWAYS working with zero downtime or other

Updated v1.1 and summer plans
Webmail.us will be sponsoring my Dovecot development for this summer. Other companies are also welcome to participate in the costs. Participation gets you: - listed in Credits in www.dovecot.org - listed in AUTHORS file - you can tell me how you want to use the feature and I'll make sure that it supports it (within reasonable limits) For already implemented v1.1 features, see

[ADMINISTRATIVE] netfilter.org service downtime
Hi! As some of you have noticed already, there was a downtime for about 24 hours in delivery of netfilter.org mails, including all mailinglist. Also, bugzilla.netfilter.org is down for the same period of time. === This service outage was brought to you by Gentoo updates === Mail delivery is now up and running again, bugzilla will take some more time. I'm really sorry, but apparently every
