What does Markdown do with HTML comments? Recommendation on Markdown file extension?
Hi there!
(1.)
It may sound awkward, but I would like to use comments in Markdown texts.
According to the rule that proper HTML works as HTML, I should be able to
use
<!-- blablabla -->
But the converters I use do strange things with comments. Is there an
official rule about that?
(2.)
I wonder if there is a recommended standard file extension for Markdown
source files.

Looking for people to create another 37signals
Hi Guys & Girls,
Like many on this forum, I''ve been inspired by the success that
37signals has had with their great web apps.
I''m a web designer/marketer (based Australia) and I''m looking for people
to help me start a new company to develop web based apps.
What prompted this post?
Well, I was listening to a recent podcast where Jason Fried was talking

So... what .net 1.1 apps do people have?
Now that 'winetricks dotnet11' can run one simple
.net 1.1 app properly... what other apps are out there
that need .net 1.1? How well do they run with Wine
after you install .net 1.1 using a fresh copy of winetricks?

can some people point to me to good tape backup and software...
Hi all,
Being recently new to Samba. I want to know what some of
you consider a really good tape backup. And, what software to run
it with. I want to be able to offer customers daily full backups that
the restores will work well with Samba. My understanding is
smbtar only uses tar. Is there something even web based I can
use. (for the guy just getting out to new small networks..and not to

read server certificate B: certificate verify failed error is driving people crazy
It seems like there must be a better way of dealing with these errors
in a puppermaster-agent setup.
I currently have one master and one agent that work, running on ubuntu
10.10 (maverick meerkat server).
On another machine, same os and hardware, I try installing with the
same steps and when I run
sudo puppet agent --test --verbose --debug --server <serverhostname>,

Wiki mainpage, pheora software, people page, admin rights
Hello!
I'd like to add the missing link for "TheoraSoftwarePlayers"
to the mainpage. I don't feel like asking Ivo for doing Wiki
edits every time is a long term solution. Can you give me
admin rights for the Xiph wiki?
I'd also like to link to the People page from the front
page. Any idea what section I should put that link in?
Thanks in advance,
Sebastian

people(:sam) should be saved to a @sam variable?
Hi all
When creating unit tests, I wondered whether I should rather use the
following...
people(:sam).name = "Sammy"
people(:sam).city = "Blah"
...or rather the following form:
@sam = people(:sam)
@sam.name = "Sammy"
@sam.city = "Blah"
Thanks
Josh

Calling ex Corel people now working here.
Hello,
I am an InfoCentral fan. Infocentral was a product that was originally developed by Novell - I think - and when Corel bought the WordPerfect suite from them, it came into Corel's hands.
InfoCentral is a PIM and is totally flexible where each thing is treated as an object. Basically its a database that can handle objects and links between objects. It is entirely customisable to your

[LLVMdev] Hi, people, I propose to move Debug and Object File related headers out of Support
LLVM is a modularized software system, so I hope it's was modularized,
And ELF.h is definitely belongs to Object by classification,
The things that confused me is the ELF.h was placed under Support and
don't know why.
Indeed, I checked that those source codes that include ELF.h also
include files under Object folder,
so that's the reason to move ELF.h from Support to Object.

Because it's also used by the MC layer's direct object emission support.

People using the HPN patch...
If anyone is using the HPN patch on a high performance link I was
wondering if you could take a moment to answer a quick question
Are you seeing vastly different performance between scp throughput and
sftp throughput? On my test network (pittsburgh to chicago) I'm getting
26MB/s with scp (arcfour) and only 6.4MB/s with sftp (arcfour). We just
started looking into this but it woudl be nice
