Some issues in Dovecot 1.2.5 after upgrade from 1.0.15
We upgraded from Dovecot 1.0.15 to 1.2.5 last night, on Solaris 10 using
mboxes, mostly without issues.
However I had to trash the index/cache files (too many folders were
showing corruption issues which is especially bad for Prayer Webmail
".prayer" folders that store preferences; Prayer sees a disconnection as
the folder being missing!).
I've had one imap process panic in mailbox

Serious memory leak in asterisk (manager)
hi all
after getting some (or - a lot) of messages from nagios, claiming
asterisk
to be down, I found this out...
astping xxx times repeatedly, and the manager fails to start. this
little
script was used for testing. below, I've pasted the output from 'ps
axfv' before and after the DoS, showing asterisk having allocated ~2GB
RAM.

PowerDVD 4.0: unimplemented function MFC42.DLL.6467 called in 32-bit code
I was able to install PowerDVD 4.0 by overriding mfc42.dll. So I could
close bug 6067.
Trying to run it I get:
Unhandled exception: unimplemented function MFC42.DLL.6467 called in
32-bit code (0x7bc37f38).
What should I do with this info? Open somewhere a bug? Is it a non-Wine
bug? Googling for it gives that some other people had problems with it

moving columns on a stripchart closer together
Greetings
I have a very simple question that I have not been able to solve by reading the manual. When I produce a stripchart with two straight columns of dots representing individual observations, one representing one group of subjects and the other representing another, the columns wind up at the far left and far right sides of the plot, and I'd like them to be closer together, about as far

a bug with Student t-value??
Hello, every one,
Using the qt() function in R, I got a different Student t-value with the
Student t table.
e.g. the return value of function qt(0.95,9) is 1.833, while in table it is
2.262.
I do not know why the difference exists. I guess it may be a bug in R.

8000 security risk?
Hi all,
Are there any serious security risks for leaving port 8000 open to public use on icecast? I had wanted to limit to 8443 but it seems some radio devices cannot support this protocol.
Thanks,

Intro file will not pre-pend stream
HI!
So I’ve been at this for a few days with no luck. I am trying to pre-pend my stream with an intro file (mp3).
I’ve saved the mp3 file (for the intro) the same as the stream > in my test right now it is set up stereo, 112kbps, 44100hz.
I can play the file independently in a browser from the webfoot location.
I can play the stream with no problems.
I have modified my icecast.xml to include

Winbind and Samba
Hi all, I was wondering if someone could lend a little assistance.
I recently setup SAMBA/Winbind to allow users to login to a Redhat 8 box
using their Windows NT Domain credentials. All is working well in that
regard.
The issue I am having is getting regular UNIX based users to be able to
login. The following is my PAM configuration. For example, if I try to
login as root, it does not work.

Affordable SIP Phone - Stiil a Myth?
Folks!
This is to let all of you know that I am making D'Link make an all out effort to make D'Link Phone DPH80 and DPH100 work with Asterisk. I have provided the Asterisk Platform to D'Link's R&D Division located in Goa, India, where their IP phone's SIP Bios is undergoing modifications based on my recommendations/suggestions. I have also provided the test bed &

Help with PAM Config
I've installed SAMBA, Winbind etc and everything is working great for users
to login with GDM using DOMAIN+username
Although this is working, now I can no longer login as a generic Linux user
(ex. root). The following is my GDM file from /etc/pam.d/gdm
I wonder if someone might have a suggestion as to what it's missing to allow
Linux users to login?

8000 security risk?
Yes I meant HTTPS over HTTP, which yes, I’m differentiating by those port numbers. Thanks for clarifying! We have been streaming HTTP for a long time, but I am at a university and there is a lot of emphasis on security. I was never really sure what the certificate did for us in this case…but was attempting to comply!
Over the years we have had a small handful of IPs trying to maliciously access

IPSEC/L2TP Local and External Internet Access at same time through two interfaces?
Hey
First, apologies if this went out twice. I sent the original email from an odd email configuration (essentially from an alias of what I signed up as). I searched and noticed that my post did not appear and I did not get a bounce back so I was confused. I waited a few days before resending. So apologies if this goes out twice. I am not trying to spam.
I was hoping someone could help me with

From NUM to INT
Dear all:
I converted the columns (Baci, Meti, Fungii, Protozoai) into integers
(using excel) and then imported the data (.txt) into R. Interestingly, the
other three variables were loaded as INT, but the 'Baci' one continued as
Num.
I imported the data using the following command line:
X <- read.delim(file.choose(),
header = TRUE,
dec =

From NUM to INT
Ok. I`m trying to run a Poisson glmm with an observation-level random
intercept. But I`m getting the following error for the 'Baci' variable:
'Error: (maxstephalfit) PIRLS step-halvings failed to reduce deviance in
pwrssUpdate'. I guess this message is because the baci variable is not a
an integer, and cannot be transformed into an integer as R has a threshold

Embedded "From<space>" Lines
Hi.
As some of you may remember, I reported a problem a while back where
dovecot 1.1.beta14 (as well as dovecot 1.0) would corrupt mbox-style
mailboxes by ignoring the Content-Length header and breaking up
messages with embededed "From<space>" lines.
I recently downloaded Dovecot 1.1.5 and noted to my pleasure that this
bug now has been fixed. That's great! This fix

Installing Neverhood on wine 2002.10.07
Hi:
I'm attempting to run "The Neverhood" on FreeBSD/wine-2002.10.07 no windows
config, which, according to the application DB, should work.
When I run the setup95.exe program the Neverhood installer screen, and when I
hit "INSTALL" I get:
