Pure virtual user and RT3.x
Hi, I have mailsystem with virtual users only (/home/vmail/domain/user). I need to integrate RT3.x (a ticketing system). I have installed the client but I need to send mail to a pipe. Rt wants me to insert: |/usr/bin/rt-mailgate --queue bla --action bla --url http://bla.bal/ In /etc/postfix/aliases. That does not work for me. What is the right way to achieve that mail to rt at mydomain is

samba groupware integration
Hi, I'd like to install a groupware server in our institute and looking for a software, which connects samba and the groupware server, for example for authentication (may be LDAP) and (more importent) to see the samba shares (user and groups) in the groupware web-front-end. I've talked this week to the open-xchange people at CeBit, and if I understud them right, the samba integration is

Is there any way I can deploy cPanel web hosting control panel with Microsoft Exchange 2016 groupware behind one static public IP?
Good evening from Singapore, Is there any way I can deploy cPanel web hosting control panel with Microsoft Exchange 2016 groupware behind one static public IP? Or do I need 2 static public IP addresses at the minimum? With Exchange 2016 groupware taking up HTTP, HTTPS, IMAP, IMAPS, POP3, POP3S, SMTP, and SMTP/S ports, I personally don't think I can deploy cPanel behind the same public IP as

Email/GroupWare Suite
Just wanted to get some thoughts from the list..... We are a public k-12 school and are looking to migrate to a groupware style system for out staff to collaborate better. Currently we are using Squirrelmail/postfix for email. Does anyone have any recommendations/opinions. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Is there any way I can deploy cPanel web hosting control panel with Microsoft Exchange 2016 groupware behind one static public IP?
Dear Richard Grainger, I am grateful for your reply and guidance. After reading the following article at nginx.com, I realize that I should use a reverse proxy instead of a load balancer. Article: WHAT IS A REVERSE PROXY VS. LOAD BALANCER? Link: https://www.nginx.com/resources/glossary/reverse-proxy-vs-load-balancer/ Presently, I am using pfSense community edition firewall. Can I install

v2.0 configuration paths
In Dovecot v2.0 I'm splitting dovecot-example.conf to multiple files. It's probably annoying to have tons of dovecot-*-example.conf files, so what do you think about: 1. Change default sysconfdir from $prefix/etc to $prefix/etc/dovecot (that's what most distros do anyway) 2. Install *.conf files to $sysconfdir/example/ without the "-example" part in any of the config files.

CentOS friendly groupware
Just wondering what the consensus is around the list for a usable groupware product. It doesn't have to be as "fancy" as the integration between Outlook and Exchange...just simple calendaring, ToDo lists, document sharing, contact manager, etc. Has anyone tried opengroupware? It seems to do what I need, but doesn't support Chinese (which would make life a lot easier for my

You can use bind your cPanel web server to a different port or (better) you can put your services behind a reverse proxy/load balancer. In this scenario, for web servers running on the standard ports (ie TCP 80 and 443), you can use HTTP host headers/SNI to redirect requests to the appropriate backend web server based on the domain name used. So yes, you can have a whole bunch of stuff running

Hi, Based on further research, it appears that Squid can only reverse proxy HTTP and HTTPs but NGINX is able to reverse proxy IMAP, POP3, and SMTP protocols. Please correct me if I am wrong. Calendar and address book with Dovecot
Hi all I recently install Postfix and Dovecot, and so far so good. My assumption was that calendar and address book (similar to Gmail calendar or address book) are part of Dovecot. However I do not see anything concerning them in any of the docs I have read so far. What other software (ideally open source, free) do I need in other to have Calendar and address book so my users can manage their

Icedove (Thunderbird) crashes when reading IMAP messages
This is a Debian lenny/sid installation. Dovecot has been installed on it for over a year, with no problems. Lately (i.e. the past few months), if I attempt to read a message, Icedove crashes. It does not do this when I read a message downloaded from the ISP's POP3 server (not that I do this very often - almost all my mail goes through Dovecot). I am now having to read email with

icedove update
Something came up that Confounded problems in my move from UW-imap to dovecot. I found a problem with the new icedove update in Debian lenny when moving from 1.5.0.13+1.5.0.14b.dfsg1-0etch1 to 2.0.0.9-3 that could look like a dovecot issue. Icedove runs for a while but eventually quits updating the displayed email, yet appears to be working and busy trying to get messages from the server. I

R 2.9.0 devel: package installation with configure-args option
Hi, trying to install a package containing C code and requiring non-default configure argument settings the incantation (this has worked for R <= 2.8.1 on the same architectures) R CMD INSTALL --configure-args="--with-opt1 --with-opt2" packname does always result in a warning Warning: unknown option '--with-opt2' and consequently the option is ignored.
