[PATCH v2 0/2] Part 2: handle addr_assign_type for random addresses
The second part of my patch series to fix the handling of addr_assign_type for random MAC addresses. This contains the trival changes from random_ether_addr() to new eth_hw_addr_random() and code to reset the state to NET_ADDR_PERM as soon as the MAC get changed via .ndo_set_mac_address where eth_mac_addr wasn't used. How to RSYNC from eth1 on PDC-SRV to eth1 on BDC-SRV?
I currently have my /home directory kept in sync between my primary and backup domain controllers by using rsync --archive --checksum --update --delete pdc-srv:/home/ bdc-srv:/home/. I noticed that when this command is invoked, it tends to suck up the available bandwith to eth0 during the duration that the pdc is sending a large amount of data packets to the bdc. So what I would like to do

[Bridge] My eth1 is crazy
Hi all, i'm having an issue with my bridge. I have the following network: ADSL router (192.168.0.1) ------ [eth0] Bridge (192.168.0.2) [eth1] ------- Workstation (192.168.0.3) Bridge works, but after some minutes, my eth1 card (8139too driver) goes link down and link up, disabling access to the bridge IP for a while (bridge functionality for workstation works ok). This happens between

Make eth1 primary interface
I have a Centos 3 server with three network interfaces. eth0 is for the local network and the firewall is the gateway, the ip and gateway are set statically. eth1 is a adsl connection using dhcp to allocate the ip. I want to make eth1 the default route. If it was statci I would just use a "route add default gwd eth1" command, but I can't do that with DHCP. How do I make eth1 the

Change output to virbr0 to eth1
Greetings: I am working with Xen 3.03 and CentOS 5.5 on a physical machine and have configured Centos 5.5. in a virtual machine (Domain-1). In the real machine I have two network cards eth0 (IP: 10.10.10.1) and eth1 (IP: 192.168.1.1). The virtual machine (IP 192.168.1.2) should come (gateway) for the network card eth1. Currently does not. The virtual machine sees only the interface virbr0 How do

Configuring eth1 to be in promiscuous mode
Hi there -- I want to have eth1 on my system run in promiscuous mode. I modified the /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth1 file to read as follows: DEVICE=eth1 BOOTPROTO= ... ONBOOT= TYPE=Ethernet ... I reboote the system and when I did an /sbin/ifconfig, eth1 appeared without an ip address. I did a check in the /var/log/messages file and while eth0 is in promiscuous mode, eth1 does not

CentOS 7 : network interface renamed from eth0 to eth1 after reboot
Very strange and as you suggested delete the ifcfg-eth0 file and recreate, specify your settings. I suspect your wireless device and or systemboard is faulty. Is there a BIOS hardware self-test you could perform to check the integrity of your hardware?
