Error: mremap_anon(###) failed: Cannot allocate memory
We're running dovecot 2.2.15 with pigeonhole 0.4.6, in a clustered environment, nfs with proxy and backend on all servers. I've been seeing some odd errors from lmtp: Error: mremap_anon(127930368) failed: Cannot allocate memory It seems to affect specific users, but it doesn't seem to manifest in any particular way; no user complaints. Just the occasional log message. I would

Hey folks. Suddenly I'm getting lots and lots of messages like this in my logs: Jun 19 14:47:31 <hostname> dovecot: [ID 583609 local0.error] imap(<address>): Error: mremap_anon(/var/mail/<domain>/<uname>/mailboxes/INBOX/Trash/dbox-Mails/dovecot.index.cache, 255557632) failed: Not enough space I'm running 2.2.36.1 under Solaris 10 (patched to current) on

I seem to recall these cache files ballooned in size when I did some doveadm search queries -- under some circumstances some headers fetches are cached

RC15 problems with dovecot-shared and umask distilled
I recently posted about problems I've been having with dovecot-shared and umask in RC15 (using Solaris 9). I've now been able to distill what I'm experiencing into these two separate points: 1. dovecot-uidlist and message files never inherit the dovecot-shared group 2. With umask=0007 these files are created with mode 600 instead of 660: dovecot-uidlist, dovecot.index,

rc14 and rc15 performance issues
Hi, I am stuck at rc13 because rc14 and rc15 have both failed to keep up with imap connections on my (slow old) system. I have the problem where if a lot of people check their email at once (like at the top of the hour) then my load goes way up and things slow to a crawl. My setup: Solaris 10 on an E220R, mbox format, imap and imaps only. I also use "login_process_per_connection =

First Login (Thunderbird) Aborted in RC15?
Not sure if this is anything to worry about. Just upgraded to RC15 to do some testing, and like always, I monitor the logs when I do this. I restarted the server (basically a clean install, uninstalled RC2, installed RC15, same config file), and then opened Thunderbird. rc15 sort bug
Hi, ive come across what looks like a bug in how dovecot sorts the mail when sorting on subject. We noticed this on our current beta8 version, and I can also reproduce it in rc15. One of our customers has hundreds of emails with subjects like this: Subject: 20060823 Kanglaonline-NSCN(IM) cadres violating Tml truce: NSCN(K) Subject: 20060824 LSE - Shell jv denies 3.2 bln usd fraud claims by

Mails "get lost" - RHEL 5.1 - dovecot-1.0-1.2.rc15.el5
Hi, we do have a Voiceboxserver which forward recorded avi messages to the mailserver account of users. I'v tested it for my account 10 minutes ago and everything works. Some users don't get the messages shown up in there mailclient while the logs show a delivery of that mail. May be some mail caches are messed up? We use Thunderbird 2 and the users concerned use imap. Where may I

NHW v0.3.0-rc15 new version
Hello, It is very difficult for me to work on NHW currently, but however I found a little slot of time to release the NHW v0.3.0-rc15 new version, for those interested. I still continue to fine-tune the nhw_kernel weights, and so this new version seems to have a little more precision, and so a better visual quality (hope my eyes are not tired...). Failed proxy auth drops connection for IMAP/POP3 proxy in 1.0-RC15
Hello, I was seeing an odd behavior in a proxy-only configuration of dovecot. When a user entered an incorrect password in either IMAP or POP3, the Dovecot connection would be immediately dropped, sometimes with the auth failure message, sometimes without (a timing issue). I believe I have tracked down the cause to the code commented out in the attached diff. It appears that the proxy
