Dear List, is it possible to integrate a function for timelimits the pop3-connects? I require this function for an email-masshosting-project. My problem is, the most customers will lookup all 30 seconds or 1 minutes for new mails, that is stupid so I mean. My idea is a function where the customer must wait (for example) 3 minutes for a pop3-connect

Hi Timo I use LDAP auth on a system with around 2000 email account. I use dual OpenLDAP servers. I haven't noticed a leak of memory. Is there any more information and I will have a look to see if I can see anything that might help. Is it only affecting certain machines or all? The mail downloading with pop3 is ~very slow, approx. 20 Kbyte / sec. no matter how many mails I've got in my mailbox, or how big are the mails. My ISP provides me a dedicated 100mbit line, and everything else works as fast as expected eg.
