John, Users don?t create these folder. The system does based on the configuration which is what I have to figure out. Public folder subscriptions with Outlook
This is more an Outlook issue than Dovecot, but given that it is connected to Dovecot I figured there would be a good pool of knowledge here that increases the likelihood that somebody knows the answer :) I have a Dovecot server setup with a public folder and keep getting complaints that Outlook users don't see new folders created by other people. In Thunderbird it is simply a case of

PalmOS and Speex
I am new to the list and I am interested in reviewing what might have been developed supporitng Speex for the Palm OS? I like the low end of 4 kbps for narrow or low frequency transmission. Why do you think you should be seeing folders for every single day? Do your users create a new folder each day and migrate mails in there? Do you have a sieve script that is filtering incoming mail into daily folders? Phillip> That what should be

Thunderbird Subscription missing
Still not quite got my head around what you are expecting to see. Presumably folders for other dates in September. Depending on how and why those folders were created they may not exist. I do note that you used an ls to show the folders, and I'm assuming from the config below you are using Maildir, so try an ls -a to show the hidden folders too (those starting with a .). This should show you

OpenSSH on PalmOS possible?
A thought has been bugging me for a month or so, but I don't know where to look for the answer. Would it be possible to port the OpenSSH ssh client to PalmOS and other handheld OS'es like Symbian (EPOC) or PocketPC? Is the processor on PDA's fast enough? Would many libraries have to be ported aswell? I know that PalmOS and EPOC has an IP stack implemented.. Since the development

rsync for PDAs?
I've been working for the past few months with open-source solutions for syncing Palm PDAs (Coldsync, mostly). I've been becoming increasingly annoyed with Palm's Desktop Link Protocol and the sync mechanism, and am considering replacing it with a third-party application for the Palm. Since I've had good luck with rsync in the past, its seemed an obvious choice. I've

Palm OS port
hello all, At my workplace, our colleague Mukesh has just completed a port of speex 1.2.1 to Palm OS. He had to write a couple of mathlib functions, but the trunk remains unchanged. It works quite well, I was wondering if there will be any interest in this port in the distribution. - farhan

Vorbis on Palm OS
Hi there. Apologies if this is off-topic -- I'll be happy to take this offline with the right individual(s). For those who don't know, the next generation Palm Powered devices will feature ARM processors and a new digital sound playback API, so naturally I'm working on a software Vorbis decoder app. Given the (probable) lack of floating point hardware on these devices, I'm

ogg player on a clie
Hi folks, I've been talking with Jack in IRC (mainly in the subversion channel), but he suggested that I pose my vorbis questions here, to the community of experts. I own a Sony Clie PDA, which is a PalmOS-4 device. Sony wasn't patient enough to wait for PalmOS-5, which has a standardized sound API and a new CPU powerful enough to decode audio. Instead, they just stuck a proprietary,

How to change passwords on LDAP Server?
Dear List People Someone here could please send me some advice on changin' LDAP passwords? It seems that everything is working nice, except by dovecot: I can send emails using my new LDAP password trought postfix smtp authentication, I can login to my Intranet website and to the Mod-LDAP protected pages on my company. I just can't POP my mail messages, because Dovecot says

Windows XP Pro and Samba (file saving)
Sometimes when I save a file to a samba-shared drive the application is unable to save there and asks if the file is write protected or if the disk is full. If I then save it to a local drive and copy it there using Windows Explorer, it can overwrite the file fine. Do I need to make that myriad of changes to my XP Pro registry? Most of the time it works fine, just from time to time it will give

Unable to authenticate with Pam
Hi, I'm trying to solve this problem for several weeks and this is a SOS! I've 2 Debian server runing heartbeat and drbd for high availability. I'm using LDAP for user database, PAM for authentication and Dovecot for Pop3s access. On the master server all is fine. If dovecot is started on the slave server (instead of the master) it does not accept to authenticate with the

Hi out there, since i updated to Samba 2.2.5 on Solaris 8 i've got a Problem with it. The Samba-Server acts as PDC and it seems to work mostly well. There is a Share for a Palm-User where i installed the Palmdesktop. In order that the Sekretaty can also look to his Calender i wrote a small Batchfile. Every Time the User starts the Palm desktop the Batchfile makes a copy of the actual State

And now onto the palm pilot with Kpilot
I've looked up the Kpilot manual, and I think I have an okay idea of what's going on with it. I'm trying to get it's detection feature to find my Palm Pilot. CentOS does seem to be able to recognize it, because if I run lsusb when running a hot sync, I get the following: [root at localhost dev]# lsusb Bus 001 Device 010: ID 0830:0060 Palm, Inc. Palm Pilot, USB, pppd and udev
I've a line like this that creates /dev/pilot link in my local udev rules: BUS="usb", SYSFS{product}="Palm Handheld*", KERNEL="ttyUSB*[13579]", SYMLINK="pilot" And it seems to work fine for doing normal sync operation to Gnome Palm applet (well, not sure about that KERNEL parameter, however ttyUSB0 and ttyUSB1 look exactly the same, no other way to

Any Speex plug-ins available for usage in a Palmdevice application
Thanks a lot for your reply, Jean. >I'm not aware of anyone packaging Speex especially for a Palm device, >but I have been able to use it as a command-line executable (you need >version 1.1.x to do that). Your reply essentially means that there aren't any commercial speex plug-ins for Palm available, so the only option I do have is to write one. Actually I was thinking of that
