[SUGGESTION] Managesieve: Transparent home dir creation
Hi all, I'm using dovecot 2.0-beta4's sieve plugin and it works great but here is an idea for improvement: When creating the first sieve script for an account whose home dir does not yet exist then dovecot *does* create that homedir but the sieve client times out. Tried Thunderbird's sieve addon as well as horde's ingo. The log says: dovecot: managesieve-login: Login:

FYI: timosieved
Just a heads up for all interested in using the Dovecot LDA with SIEVE scripting: I've started work on a proof-of-concept managesieve daemon, since the only one available right now is dependent on Cyrus. It appears that the only choice available for sites not using timsieved is the Ingo component of Horde, which is way too fat to install by itself (plus it uses FTP for a transport,

MANAGESIEVE patch v2
Hello Timo, Dispite the heat out here, I managed to come up with a new version of the managesieve patch for dovecot-1.0rc2: - Fixed the bug (missing CRLF) in the authenticate command - Modified the sieve storage library making the interface much less crude. - The scripts put on the server using the putscript command are now checked before they are accepted. - The reported SIEVE capability is

Stuck with dovecot-sieve and horde-ingo ...
Hello, dovecot-users ... as you may read at http://lists.horde.org/archives/horde/Week-of-Mon-20090706/037786.html I am stuck getting dovecot-sieve working with the ingo-application of the horde-framework. To me it seems as if ingo doesn't even trigger any request/command to managesieve ... I set "mail_debug=yes" in the managesieve-section of dovecot.conf but don't see any

MANAGESIEVE patch v3 for dovecot 1.0.rc28
Hello dovecot users, I have updated the MANAGESIEVE patch to apply and compile against dovecot 1.0.rc28. Not much has changed with respect to the functionality of the previous version however: ChangeLog vs v2 - Updated source to compile with dovecot 1.0.rc28, tested with rc27 (debian package) - Daemon now uses the same location for .dovecot.sieve as dovecot-lda This is typically

Trouble with managesieve symbolic link creation
Hi, I've been trying to get managesieve to work on our installation, but although almost everything works fine the symbolic link from .dovecot.sieve to the sieve dir gets created with a / in the beginning: drwx------ 4 vmail users 128 2010-04-08 18:35 . drwxr-xr-x 5 vmail users 144 2009-08-28 18:26 .. lrwxrwxrwx 1 vmail users 17 2010-04-08 18:35 .dovecot.sieve -> /sieve/ingo.sieve

Managesieve: first steps
Hi, I'm trying to get managesieve to work but, as usual, I have some issues... - First of all, the compilation process after applying the patch is a bit strange. I've used this way (i'm using centOS 4 for this pre-tests): $ tar zxvf dovecot-1.0.0.tar.gz $ cd dovecot-1.0.0 $ gzip -cd ../dovecot-1.0.rc28-MANAGESIEVE-v4.diff.gz | patch -p1 $ autoreconf (This ends with an error about

sieve addflag has stopped working
Dovecot 1.2.10 in Debian, using Dovecot sieve. I have a sieve script, generated by Ingo, that's supposed to mark spam messages as "Seen" and file them into the Junk folder. In part it reads: require ["regex", "body", "imapflags", "fileinto"]; if exists "X-Spam-Flag" { addflag "\\Seen"; fileinto

managesieve daemon
Hi, I am currently working on a managesieve daemon, so that I can use the squirrelmail plugin avelsieve together with dovecot-lda. Without this I can't migrate from cyrus to dovecot. For several reasons I don't use the timsieved from cyrus and build it from scratch. Is this interesting for somebody else? Gerald

Sieve: redirect and keep action, possible bug
Hi, Using Dovecot 1.2.4 and the new Sieve implementation in version 0.1.12, I ran into a problem that could indicate a bug in Sieve. The following is a simple script (as generated by Horde's Ingo application) to redirect incoming mail and also keep a copy of the message in the local inbox: if true { redirect "foo at example.org"; } if true { keep; stop; } Problem

Experience with Dovecot + Sieve + Webmail?
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hello, there were some posts into this lists regarding Webmail interfaces and Sieve. What are the experiences with them? I need a webmail frontend that is capable of IMAP, supporting dovecot's namespaces, verifying PGP and managing Sieve in conjunction with Dovecot. I found two mature products, I also saw posts about, so I'm going to ask.
