nfs locking issues...
I'm running Dovecot 1.1 RC1. I believe I've done all the due diligence for making things working correctly over nfs. But I run into locking issues if I run over nfs. procmail is doing the delivery over nfs. uw-imap was ruining over nfs. dovecot is fine if its on the nfs server (i.e. it has local access to the disk, no nfs) I run into lock deadlocks if I run dovecot over nfs Users

Lucent iMerge
I've read the wiki and other resources on how to connect Vonage / Voicepulse and all these other services to Asterisk... We are attempting a connection to a Lucent iMerge. Lucent has told us that it won't work - but we feel confident that it will. Has anyone worked with the Lucent iMerge - or would be willing to help lend a hand? It is capable of H323 / MGCP. Even if I could make the

PKI Compliance Dovecot Server
Hello, I work for an organization that uses a Secure Dovecot server for messaging, and recently we've had to undergo some security screenings for PKI compliance (credit card industry standards). However, the screening returned to us a failure due to the following reason (attributed to our Dovecot server, which runs on port 993 and is the only "open" port on our firewall): Synopsis

links causing dovecot endless search through user's homedirs
Hello, My user's imap folder locations are a mess. Some have them in /home/username/mail but a lot of them just have them in /home/username. So I need to have dovecot's base imapdir pointed directly at the user's homedirs. My problem now is that a lot of users have many links in their homedirs. Some even have circular links, such as: /home/username/foo/foo1/foo2/foo3/foo4 ->

migration from bincimap to dovecot (imaps)
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi folks, I've installed dovecot 0.99.14 (last port on my freebsd system), and now I've to migrate from bincimap. My system uses qmail with vpopmail (uid/gid 89) and Maildir format. Well, now the authentication is ok, but when I try to connect to mailbox I receive an error like "IMAP command SELECT failed". My dovecot.conf:

Not an IMAP4 Server?
I've been testing alpha4, and every once in a while my client (Thunderbird 1.5 RC1) tells me the dovecot isn't a valid IMAP4 server. This is usually (maybe always) when I first bring up the client up. If I just ask the client to get the mail again, it does so happily (without any errors). I must say I found dovecot as a pleasant surprise. We have been using UW. Which didn't

Is there a best practice in dealing with javascript dependencies?
As I''ve begun to work with several javascript libraries out there, I''ve run in to some dependency issues that must have been solved by others before. For example, I''m trying to implement the jstree library from Laurie Harper in to BundledResource. Breaking the ''jstree'' javascript from the sample html out in to its own file caused it to fail

[Possible SPAM] : about sip, asterisk and cisco ccme
I am starting to work on a similar solution, but with full call manager rather than CME. I am going to use Asterisk to accept POTS calls through PCI FXO ports (winmodems) and then forward the calls through to call manager via SIP. I don't have my FXO cards yet (waiting for UPS man!!) but I have * talking to the CM through SIP just fine. I am testing with the Cisco softphone, connected as a

New improved version of nut-report script
Roger, I get 4.3.8(1)-release There was good reason, BTW, for the script to NOT fine the journal script on my machine. I had not downloaded it yet. New improved version of nut-report script
Hi Roger and thanks! I have attached my nut report from the new script (sans journal). I saw nothing that looked like a problem with the report save the sections <scriptname> "Cannot access <scriptname>. Perhaps this is from the missing journal? Removing script file
Colleagues, (Running R 2.7.0) I have a script that I want to delete as it completes execution. The penultimate line of the script (before the quit command) is: file.remove("Scriptname") The script is executed as: R --no-save < Scriptname In OS X and Linux this is successful and returns: > > file.remove("x") > [1] TRUE and the file is deleted In Windows XP,

For the most part, NUT drivers ending in “_usb” (including blazer_usb) do not need a serial device node in /dev. They use libusb to talk directly to the UPS. get the scripname within the executed myscript.r
Dear R-users! Is there a way to obtain the name of the executed myscript.r, i.e. when cmd> rscript myscript.r is executed? (The name of the script in this case is "myscript.r") Here is the explanation of why I would like to get that: Why: I have prepared a set of scripts (decompose_data.r, plot_with_higher_resolution.r, plot_3D.r, etc.) placed in a root directory at one place.
