SQLite with PHP5 problem
Has anyone ever installed PHP5 with SQLiteDatabase class support in CentOS
4.3?
I have to run a program with this class for a core feature.
But unfortunately, both the php 5.0.4 package in centosplus and a SRPM build
from FC5 will not work with this class.
With the error "undefined class SQLiteDatabase"!
And there *IS* the "pdo_sqlite.so" extension in my php.d/pdo.ini file, as

Asterisk on Solaris 10 (AMD Opteron, Sun Fire X2100)
Hello, world!
I'm considering running Asterisk 1.2.4 on Solaris 10 on a Sun Fire
X2100 server or two (Opteron CPU, nForce 4 chipset), and apparently
this works. I've read that the Zaptel package won't work on anything
other than Linux, since it's intended to hook into the Linux kernel
in the form of a kernel module. This concerns me, since I've read
that ztdummy, the

ssh session output stalls
Hello,
Is anyone else having problems with the ssh session output stalling
when ssh'd to another system and the command is running via sudo and a
pager is being used (e.g., more)?
Too highly reproducible :( to date, all known occurrences have
involved Centos 4.3 servers; makes no difference whether client is
RHEL WS 4.3, Centos 4.3 or FC 5 or WinDoze. Makes no difference if

64-bit ISO Burning Failures
Hi,
I have downloaded several different sets of the 64-bit ISOs, and have
burned them to CD using various of my known-good ISO burning softwares,
including Nero and DeepBurn on Windows, as well as the native CD burning
KDE linux tool on Xandros Linux. I am using mirrors from the site, like
kernel.org.
I have chosen low burning speeds also, but when I insert the ISO CD into a
server and boot it

Fwd: Asterisk on Solaris 10 (AMD Opteron, Sun Fire X2100)
Hello all,
I really appreciate the replies I've gotten about this so far
(especially the support for wanting to run it on Solaris!).
The core issue seems to have been missed, though -- is there any way
to run a complete Asterisk solution on Solaris 10 (including
music-on-hold and conferencing)? This probably comes down to a few issues:
- Is ztdummy (a component of Zaptel) *really*

sun x2100 gmirror problem
Hi,
We're using gmirror on our sun fire x2100 and FreeBSD 6.1-p10. Some days

SunFire X2100 bios dislikes ZFS''s EFI labels, too
Back in December, there was some discussion here about the Ultra 20''s
bios being confused by the EFI labels ZFS uses.
After seeing a report about the X2100 exhibiting the same behavior as
the Ultra 20, I reproduced the problem and filed:
6407133 X2100 bios intimidated by ZFS-created EFI labels
hopefully that bios will get fixed, too.

SunFire X2100 and X4100
Anyone seen either of these "in the wild" yet? RHEL3/RHEL4 are install
options so I'm assuming CentOS will just work out of the box, but I
thought I'd ask here. The 2100 seems like a viable alternative to
whitebox 1RU boxes that we currently use, especially with the new dual
core processors.
Cheers,

X2200-M2
After the interesting revelations about the X2100 and it''s hot-swap abilities,
what are the abilities of the X2200-M2''s disk subsystem, and is ZFS going to
tickle any wierdness out of them?

pci 2.2 - pci-e x16
Hi,
Does anyone know if it is possible to plug a tdm400p pci digium card
into an pci-e 16x slot ?
Is there a possibility to work?
I have a sun fire x2100 which doesn't have pci slots.
Does Digium make pci-e cards?

ZFS fans,
Recalling our conversation about hot-plug and hot-swap terminology and use,
I afraid to say that CR 6483250 has been closed as will-not-fix. No explaination
was given. If you feel strongly about this, please open another CR and pile on.

Asterisk on Solaris
Hello Everyone,
I have bumped into the thralling penguin page on linux vs solaris for
asterisk. Does the benchmark still hold with the newer versions of
kernels? Curious to know of your thoughts. Also, they mentioned
running it on Sun Fire x2100, but no benchmarks were given for that.
Can increased performance be accomplished simply by changing to
Solaris or OpenSolaris?
Kind Regards,
Nick.

Server question - if you had ...
Hi all,
Ok, how about this one. If you had $300 to spend on bandwidth, where
would you buy it? I'm looking for a good dedicated bandwidth deal.
Cheers,

creating a vnic to represent the factory MAC address
How do I create a vnic that represents the factory assigned MAC
address of my physical nic?
The bge device in my system (x2100) appears to support 4 MAC
addresses. The driver reserves the first as the ''primary/default''
address and allows manipulation of the other three via the
MAC_CAPAB_MULTIADDRESS interface.
I''d like to use vnics on this system, as I have Xen guest
