I restarted dovecot and the process worked fine. However at midnight exim log file is rotated and since then dovecot stops logging to this log. In syslog.conf I put: mail.*

Kiwi Cattools under Wine
Hello Everybody, I'm pleased with the progress of the wine project, it's been nice to move most of my work applications into Linux, and avoid using Windows all together. I am currently facing problems with an application called Kiwi CatTools (http://www.kiwisyslog.com). This application is a Network Management System that automates configuration archiving, mass-configuration

Hi everybody, I have been long (for 2 days) trying, but I really need some help. I would like to use virtual static users. I configured my file as indicated in the documentation and then I created the following directory, with the needed rights (mail account) and leave them empty : /var/mail/virtual/<mon_domaine>.fr/toto/ I am not sure that it is the good method, but I understand it

exim4 + dovecot + SquirrelMail virtualhosted on Debian
Hello, I have a Debian machine that is virtual-hosting 6 domains with exim4. I finally got exim4 working well enough where I can send and receive mail using the mail command on my machine. I would eventually like to have SquirrelMail (which requires IMAP) working on my website. For whatever reason, exim4 doesn't seem to support IMAP. I found out that Dovecot is a prominent IMAP server.

Upgrade to v2.0 conf file fails
Hi, I am trying to use the command: doveconf -n -c dovecot-1.conf > dovecot-2.conf to upgrade my dovecot.conf file, but it fails (see below). Judging from the message that vsz_limit is the new setting for login_process_size, I have retried using login_process_size=256 rather than login_process_size=64 (which was the initial value), but the error persists. Please advise. Thanks, Nick

Sizing login_process_size and login_processes_count?
Any suggestions on sizing login_process_size and login_processes_count for a server expected to be doing 100 to 200 simultaneous connections? Is there a way to separate login_processes_count between imap and pop? I would like to have at least 50 imap processes ready, but we rarely have any more than 5 to 10 pop connections. Would be a shame to have 40+ pop login processes doing nothing most

login_process_size too small on x86_64 Fedora/RHEL
Hello, as described in [253363], login_process_size of 32M is not enough on 64-bit versions of Fedora and RHEL (and possibly other distributions as well). [253363] https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=253363 As I understand it, there's an intersegment gap between read-only/executable and writable segments of shared libs. That's probably a security feature or something. I found a
