Problems with Dovecot 1.0 beta7 rpm form atrpm for RHEL4
Hi, I just want to install dovecot 1.0 beta7 from atrpm and noted that it depends on a non official dependency. If you have RHEL4 (Centos) 4.3 fully updated and you try to install: http://dl.atrpms.net/all/dovecot-1.0-0_10.99.beta7.el4.at.i386.rpm You get this error: # rpm -ivh dovecot-1.0-0_10.99.beta7.el4.at.i386.rpm error: Failed dependencies: openssl >= 0.9.7f-4 is needed by

Converting huge mbox to Dovecot mbox + indexes
Migrating from UW IMAP/Qpopper mbox to Dovecot mbox. I have ~500 users, some with HUGE mbox (500MB-1GB), is there a script to create the Dovecot indexes at night to help speed up the migration process. Any idea. Thanks Bertrand Leboeuf leboeuf at emt.inrs.ca

migrating POP3 from UW IMAP: X-UIDL and X-UID
With a INBOX mbox created by UW IMAP the messages in INBOX mbox contains the X-UIDL field When I use Dovecot POP3 with pop3_uidl_format = %08Xv%08Xu on the first run, X-UID is inserted, but all messages are downloaded again. What am I missing, I don't want the clients to download the read messages again. Thanks Bertrand Leboeuf leboeuf at emt.inrs.ca

How many TDM22P Card can be used on the same PC ?
Just Google the archive on 'IRQ issues'. You can pretty much bet that 6 TDM cards on 6 PCI slots would suck hugely. Unless echo is your goal, you are not going to be pleased. If you have to use 24 existing POTS lines, look into a channel bank and interface it to a T1 card. If you are planning new, just get a PRI T1 and be done with it. Hi all, I'm running Samba 2.2.7a on RedHat8.0 with LDAP (latest RPM from redhat) Well I configured samba to act as a PDC with LDAP following IDEALX recommandations. Everything works fine BUT the password change, I cannot change the passwords from the Win2000 or WinXP WS, it always says that the password or username doesn't match .... Of course it matches, I tried too many things to

"Not enough memory" on MacOSX
I just installed wine 1.2-rc7 on a recent Macbook Pro under MacOSX 10.6.4 using Macports. It works fine with several Windows applications. However, when I try to execute an EXE file compiled from a simple Fortran program on a Windows box, all I get is: wine: Not enough memory The message is not correct since I have 4GB and the program is small. Also, the program works with wine-1.0.1 on a

Two recent issues
I've been using dovecot for years, been working great. However recently I've come across two issues. The first issue unfortunately I have little information on, mail_debug hasn't provided anything useful either (in fact it looks like the login request that fails doesn't even get logged at all). During the morning rush of email, this server has around 11k mailboxes on it, it

agent forwarding with v2
I'm confused about the status of auth agent forwarding while using v2 protocols. I found an old newsgroup post that said it was not available but an entry in the ChangeLog entry dated 20001113 seems to indicate that it was added. So. Does agent forwarding work while using v2 protocols? I've been unable to get it to work since I switched to using v2. Thanks, Ben -- Ben Beuchler
