dovecot - Nov 2006 - INIT startup script for Fedora Core 5

This is what I use on my Fedora Core 3 server (should work fine of Core 
5, as well):

There is a dovecot rpm available from the ATrpms repository, it
contains the sysV-style init scripts and will do what you want.

FC5 ships dovecot as part of core, so it has an init script:
