dovecot NTLM authentication
Hi,
I'm trying to configure DoveCot to allow NTLM authentication. I've
successfully authenticated with Outlook 2003 against Dovecot when the
passdb backend used to store the password is a passwd-file. It doesn't
matter if the passwd-file contains plain or NTLM encrypted passwords.
When I compare the NTLM hash provided by the dovecotpw utility to the
one I have in my SAMBA ldap, it

1.0.beta6 released
Fixes, mostly:
* The login and master usernames were reversed when using
master_user_separator (now the order is UW-IMAP compatible).
* Killing dovecot master process now kills all IMAP and POP3
processes also.
+ -a parameter to dovecot prints now all settings that Dovecot uses.
-n prints all settings that are different from defaults.
+ Added pop3_lock_session setting
+ %M modifier

Retain last grouping after a strsplit()
All -
I have a column of SiteNames:
SiteName
OYS-PIA2-FL-1
OYS-PIA2-LA-1
OYS-PI-LA-BB-1
OYS-PIA2-LA-10
...
[truncated]
and I want to include only the last few digits into a new column.
I tried
substr(data$SiteName, 13, 20)
but because some SiteName values are of a different length, the final
hyphen (i.e., "-") was included:
"1"
"1"
"-1"
"10"

Premature end of script headers:....dispatch.cgi
Hi all,
I have a working ruby app that I developed on Window and I am trying to
deploy it on Linox with Apache. The hosting company generated for me an
empty rails app and I just replaced the files that I modified in my app
(only rb/rhtml/css/js files).
In addition I updatd the database.yml but now I am getting either page
not found or
Application error

We couldn't drop root group privileges.
Hello all,
This is my first post to this list. I have tried finding this answer online
but while it seems that there are some people out there asking, I cant seem
to get an answer to it.
I have installed Dovecot some many month ago, and just recently I have been
getting an error while trying to log into one of my accounts that I used all
the time. The error that comes up is

group privileges on newly created files?
Just curious,
I know you can force a creation mask using "create mode", but is there any way to enforce under what group ownership a file/directory is created? My users belong to several groups, and I want new files created as owned by a specific group...
Thanks in advance,
-Rob

/var/mail/<user> and mail group privileges
Hi Timo,
I'm facing problem with mail group privileges (again), because I've heard a
few complains. I was looking at old emails and list archives, but still does
not know the answer. In default (fedora/rhel) setup mail group and 0660
privileges are used. This means that when
mail_location = mbox:~/mail:INBOX=/var/mail/%u
is used, dovecot fails with first (and only first) attempt

domain admin group does not have root privileges on windows 2000 or xp machines
I recently upgraded to samba 3 (running on FreeBSD 4.10). I quickly discovered the lack of the
domain admins setting from samba 2, and found documentation directing me to use net groupmap. So
I've got the domain admins group set to include @wheel:
olympus# net groupmap list
System Operators (S-1-5-32-549) -> -1
Replicators (S-1-5-32-552) -> -1
Guests (S-1-5-32-546) -> -1

Can I install in the following fashion?
<permit me my perhaps foolish preference...an explanation>
I run mail service for a small college. I've long joked that if someone
stole the mail server, the phone would ring before the alarm (which has
a 1 minute delay) did, that the user base expected 25x8x367 coverage.
Making updates/upgrades to the mail server feels like a tightrope walk
with no net. I always appreciated

We couldn't drop root group privileges
Hi,
I just installed dovecot. The installation went well and i configured
dovecot to user ~/Maildir. When I tested imap via telnet the login
work, but right after that the connection is cutted:
Trying 192.168.0.14...
Connected to op.
Escape character is '^]'.
* OK dovecot ready.
. login jerik password
. OK Logged in.
Connection closed by foreign host.
And the log says:

Can't drop root group privileges
Hi all,
I need your insight. I've been testing Dovecot on an AIX 5.2
system. Compiled and running fine. We have some users on an
AIX 5.1 system, so I'm working on installing it there, so we
can do further testing.
I'm using Dovecot 1.0 RC15 with OpenSSL 9.0.7e, configured to use
port 10143 (imap) and 10993 (imaps). The error I'm seeing in the log is:

vesamenu.c32 retain image
Hello.
vesamenu.c32 can currently display a PNG image along the menu.
But when the kernel is started, the image is lost.
LILO supports bmp-retain option, where the bitmap graphic is retained
when control is passed to the loaded kernel image; i.e., the screen is
not blanked to alphanumeric mode before starting the kernel.
Is it possible for vesamenu.c32 (or syslinux in general) to support

CallerID retain on internal transfer
I was just looking through the Wiki for some info on how to retain the
original caller's callerid when make transfers to internal extensions, and I
came across the parameter below:
useincomingcalleridonzaptransfer=yes
There is nothing in the zapata.conf file from vers. 1.2.7 so I am wondering
if this is still a valid parameter. If not, does anyone know how I can do
this?
Thanks,
Joe

[PATCH 1/2] [v2] drm/nouveau: retain device pointer in nvkm_gsp_mem object

Store the struct device pointer used to allocate the DMA buffer in
the nvkm_gsp_mem object. This allows nvkm_gsp_mem_dtor() to release
the buffer without needing the nvkm_gsp. This is needed so that
we can retain DMA buffers even after the nvkm_gsp object is deleted.

Retain only those records from a dataframe that exist in another dataframe
Dear R community,
I have two dataframes "first" and "second" which share a unique identifier.
I wish to make a new dataframe "third" retaining only the rows in
"first" which also occur in "second".
I have tried using merge but can't seem to figure it out. Any ideas?
Thanks!

Retain call control: Avoid letting call get
Take a look at freepbx 2.2 beta. We have made both ringgroups and follow-me have a call confirmation option. When used, the ringgroup/follow-me extensions that are outside lines (like your cell phone) must confirm they want the call (press 1 to accept, 2 to decline). All the while the caller hears ringing (or MoH if chosen). If no answer, they are sent on to where ever else you want them to go
