How long to 1.0?
Hi! I'm wondering how close Dovecot can be said to be to 1.0 "Final". How stable can the alpha branch be said to be? I was browsing around the Dovecot homepage, but I couldn't find any answer to this question. I hope it hasn't been asked (too many times) before. Fredrik Tolf

GSSAPI support status
Hi list! I'm wondering, what is the current status of GSSAPI (krb5) support in Dovecot? I know from googling that there used to be a patch for it around a year ago, but I haven't seen a trace of that patch ever since, and GSSAPI doesn't even seem to be mentioned in the Dovecot source tree (at least not according to "grep -irl"). Is GSSAPI planned at all, as it stands? If

Known problem?
Virually all windows programs that use just a little beyond basic functionality that I try running under wine produce exceptions, and on top of that, wine seems to crash every time it tries to start the debugger, such as: wine: Unhandled exception, starting debugger... But nothing ever happens, no matter how long I wait. Sometimes it says it crashes with c0000005 (the windows equality to sigsegv,

u32 filter won''t match
Hi! I really need help with a u32 filter that won''t match what I think I''m telling it to. The situation is that I have set up an internal computer to change the TOS value of packets sent by certain processes to 0x1E (If anyone known of a better way to mark packets, please tell me. I would love to find some module that adds an IP option with UIDs and GIDs to the packets - does

Dovecot IDLE bandwidth usage
Hi list, I just recently discovered the IMAP IDLE command and tried it out with my Dovecot server. It seems to work fine and all, but it seems to be using quite a deal of bandwidth, because of the "* OK Still here" messages sent by the server at two minute intervals. I would argue that is a bit of a problem when using the IDLE command for "Push mail" on a mobile phone. I

.Xauthority & SMB
I asked this question a while ago, but never got any response. Since then, I've researched the problem some more, so I can give a much more concise description of what's happening. I'm mounting the home directories of the users upon login (using pam_mount) from the Windows server. However, none of the users can run X Windows. It says there's a problem with the .Xauthority file.

When doing so it appears as if the .Rhistory file from my home directory always is loaded even when I want the file from the directory where I'm working. I have tried to fix it through preferences

OPUS implementation with FPGA
Just to make sure, what's the goal here? Is the goal 1) to have a fast Opus implementation or are you 2) looking for an interesting FPGA implementation project? If 1), then an FPGA is most likely not necessary since Opus is not computationally expensive. If 2), then it depends on the desired size of the project and the desired quality. The simplest encoder possible is indeed simpler than the

Post Hoc on repeated measures?
Hi all, I'm a potential new user of R and have to know this before I start using it: SPSS does not let you do a Post Hoc analysis on repeated measures data. This is a problem for me, since that is what I will have to do. Will R let me do this? /Fredrik -- ----------------------------------------------------------------- Fredrik Karlsson, Research Student Department of Philosophy and

GSSAPI and virtual Users?
Hi, is there a possibility to map login-names to allowed Kerberos-Principals? At the moment GSSAPI-authentication seems to work only if loginname and kerberos-principal are the same, or am I missing something? It would be really great to use GSSAPI-auth with virtual users. Thanks a lot! S. Thias

"Missing value representation in Excel before
I reproduce from memory my exhaustive look into this issue. RODBC uses the Microsoft ODBC DLL's developed by Microsoft. These DLL's perform an automatic determination of column type based on the contents of the first N rows of cells in each column, where N [0,16]. N may be set in the Windows system registry, and there are a few other things that may be set in the system registry which

"Dotted lines at the end of the KM-curve"
R-ers! Referees demand that the line in the KM-curve should be changed to dotted at the point where standarerror is <= 10 %. I don't think it's a good habit but I urgently need to implement such a thing in R with survfit, survplot or another program. They also want numbers at risk below the curve Some help, please.... "mantel.haenszel.test for trend in S-plus doesn't work i R"
Dear R'ers, When I used S-plus i wrote a small program for a Mantel-Haenszel test for trend (I think it worked). Unfortunately I can't get it working in R. It appears as if my use of 'el' is the problem but I can't sort it out. Error in apply(array, c(, 2, 3), function(el) el * 1:s) : argument is missing, with no default Further down in the program I use 'el'
