Strange behaviour with multiple auth channels
Hey all Just upgraded to Test-61 and at first everything looked like it worked without a hitch, I could log in and check mail (yay! ;-) ). Since I could log in, I never suspected anything would be amiss. Later one of my users told me he could no longer log in, regardless what he tried. Password error I thought and told him to go change his password, but then he explained he had not changed

Fatal: nfs flush requires mail_fsync=always
Hello, any news about the attached error? I'm preparing the 2.2 to 2.3 upgrade and having the same error. We have the mail stores in an NFS filer. IMAP stops responding.
Hiya all, I've experienced that IMAP/IMAPS stops responding. To restore service there is only one way, restart Dovecot completely. This leads to services being interrupted for some people, so it seems to only affect some of the users on the server. But POP3/POP3s is still running happily. Also, it happens more as we approach Rush Hour. All of this leads me to believe that we're facing a

Fatal: nfs flush requires mail_fsync=always
Hiya all, I'm seeing this "Fatal: nfs flush requires mail_fsync=always" error on my testbed. The issue is that from what I can see, mail_fsync is set to always : # doveconf -n | grep mail_fs mail_fsync = always The result is that the client does not connect at all, which is not really what I wanted to happen :) Any idea what is going wrong here? Best regards S?ren P. Skou

problems with Auth and Alpha 1a
Hi all I'm not quite sure how to explain this problem, so I'll just go from the top ;-). System is setup on a FreeBSD with IMAP and POP3, both can use PAM and SQL (MySQL) as login methods, though only POP3 is accessible from "the world" - IMAP is restricted via firewall to only localhost. Simple eh? The problem is that dovecot apparently drops the SQL part from time to time.

[LLVMdev] Compiling LLVM on SPARC
Hello all, I've been trying to compile LLVM and LLVM-GCC on the SPARC architecture, but I've been running into lots of issues: LLVM 2.5 works, but 2.6 does not -- gcc can't even parse the triple.h file needed in commandline.cpp. For 2.5, there's a compile error for llvm-gcc for that version. I've been compiling with gcc 4.5.0, and have also tried 4.4.3. I've turned

1.0alpha4: mbox-lock asserts and cores
Timo, I upgraded from alpha3 to alpha4 yesterday, and I am seeing a few of the following asserts: imap(user): file mbox-lock.c: line 379 (mbox_lock_fcntl): assertion failed: (lock_type == F_UNLCK) Gdb info on a couple of the cores is attached. It looks like the arg lock_type for mbox_lock_fcntl() is not getting passed in correctly, like the enum "enum mbox_lock_type type" in

Root fs suddenly goes r/o
Out of the blue, dmesg on my HP Proliant w/ a SCSI disk gives loads of messages like this one: EXT3-fs error (device dm-0) in start_transaction: Journal has aborted Then the root fs goes read-only, so little else can be done on the machine. LVM locks up. At restart, fs needs a reboot to recover after fsck. The host starts up ok, then I am given some more minutes before the problem reappears.

ETerm32 Terminal Emulator
I installed Wine from Synaptic and then installed a Windows terminal emulator program called ETerm32. As I understand, mainly, it provides the keyboard translations for a VT320 terminal so I can connect and function on a VMS-based server/application. Running ETerm32 under Wine, I can connect to the server which displays a Username prompt. After typing the user name and hitting <ENTER>,

I need to debug some issue in second stage of syslinux boot, i.e. ldlinux.sys. I have put a few debug instructions in core/diskstart.inc and recompiled everything. The newly obtained ldlinux.sys confirms to the size restriction for the boot sector. Now how do o replace the current /boot/ldlinux.sys file with mine. Remove Application button in Winecfg doesn't work

Every time I click the remove application button, the application disappears, but reappears the next time I open the wine config. Normally I would look to the config file, but all I can find about it is that it has been depreciated. I am running

Hi, every lvm command gives one line with: /dev/cdrom: open failed: No medium found I looked at https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=431901 and changed filter in /etc/lvm/lvm.conf to filter = [ "r|/dev/cdrom|", "a/.*/" ] then deleted cache /etc/lvm/cache/.cache This seems to help, but after a while the message reappears. Is there a way to get rid of it, because

Print driver installation problem
Hi, I am trying to set up a Win98 PC to print to a server running Samba 2.2.3a. The server has print drivers installed via cupsaddsmb, which is just a wrapper around the rpcclient addprinter/adddriver/setdriver functions. Calls to rpcclient's geprinter and getdriver functions return valid data. When I go to install the printer on the Windows 98 client, however, things start out OK but soon
