Thunderbird, subscriptions, and upgrade to 1.1.3
Hi, I've upgraded from 1.0.7 to 1.1.3. When I did this, my Thunderbird lost its brain and did not show some subscribed folders. squirrelmail also seemed to have issues. Applemail and mutt were fine. The configuration output is below. Hopefully this is just me and just random bizarreness. There wasn't a problem in 1.0.7 but I could have been caught in mid-upgrade. Thunderbird did not

AppleMail 1.3 filter problem [solved] / fc5 package of 1.0rc7
Hi, Folks, I recently migrated from courier-imapd to dovecot when I migrated a machine from rh9 to fc5. I managed to hit a snag with the 1.0b8 version of dovecot that's currently in fc5. With AppleMail 1.3 I was seeing most of my incoming mail go missing. To make a long story short, AppleMail was applying mail filters inappropriately (walking right past a 'stop processing'

Crashes with tracebacks
Crashes, redux. I hope I have provided all the information required for a solution. Many thanks in advance for having a look. I have 71 core files for a user, that all happened in the space of about 6 hours. It appears that mail delivered to 'Junk E-mail' is being accessed. I suspect they're all the same issue. I saw the same syslog entry a while back; did a resync & enabled

Dovecot causing hanging on random folders...
I've been using the 1.0 test series (currently 1.0test 67 and before that 1.0-test59) and both exhibited this issue.. I use Thunderbird and will open one or two of my nested Maildir folders via imap and find that it goes out there trying to open the folder (according to the messages that Thunderbird claims) and it never comes back.. I've attached to the various dovecot processes to

Time moving backwards error
I'm running dovecot on an OpenBSD 3.7 server and after upgrading to RC25, the daemon started exiting with: Fatal: Time just moved backwards (1173221579 -> 1173221578)! This might cause a lot of problems, so I'll just kill myself now. After upgrading to RC26, I've gotten the error: Error: Time just moved backwards by 1 seconds. I'll sleep now until we're back in

namespaces...
Hi, I am new to dovecot and I am a bit confused with how namespaces/prefixes/separators are handled by the clients and dovecot... I tried to understand the desciption from the conf file but without success. With each conf I create the following path /f1/f2 on the client (thunderbird) and get the following on the dovecot server: PREFIX= and separator=/ => .INBOX.f1.f2 + .INBOXTrash

aha! (was apple mail vs. v0.99)
it seems that when you say "check for new mail" in apple mail, it sends a NOOP to the imap server to get the response. in uw, the conversation is something like: 25 NOOP 25 OK NOOP completed 26 NOOP * 2796 EXISTS * 7 RECENT 26 OK NOOP completed however, with dovecot, if it has already notified the client that new mail has arrived, it will look something like: * 24 EXISTS * 2 RECENT

Urgent :: File Object problem
disclaimer: Im not a developer, in fact I know very little of Ruby. I had this script made for me by Endax, LLC. I have run into problems with the script and they are unable/unwilling to help resolve the issue. The script was working fine for a while, but now when I run it I get the following error in the Ruby editor: >ruby realtor_scraper.rb realtor_scraper.rb:54:in `initialize'':

Problem with Promise Ultra100 controllers & 2.6.9-42 kernel
When I boot my Centos home file server with the latest kernel, 2.6.9-42.0.10.EL, the two Promise controllers installed in the system are unable to enable the 2nd IDE Channel on both cards due to a memory conflict. The error indicates that the next block of memory is already allocated. So the 2nd IDE channel on each card does not get enabled. Listing of the two controllers is below: 00:09.0 Mass

Macintosh binaries; was: Rcmdr and Macintosh
I am a Windows user and trying to make life easier for my Mac-using students. After investigating the Mac situation more, it appears that the key to easy use is having precompiled binaries. However the packages I am interested in (Rcmdr and its required package, car) do not have one. I do not have easy access to a Mac, so I have a plea to Macintosh users: could someone please create them if it is
