wikki problem
I'm trying to post a script on the wikki but it keeps screwing up the text because it interprets the text as commands that cause graphical errors. Is there some trick to make the wiki think that the text is just text? Tia, Dean -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:

freenx in rootless mode and session resume anyone?
Hi I suceeded to run freenx on centos3 with the nomachine client, but I still have some issues. First I can only get a new whole desktop (kde) session. I cannot resume it, and it always leave tons of process that I have to kill from root. I don't need the whole kde desktop, and only want to have single windows. This is called the rootless mode I think and cannot make it work, it simply

Hello, I''m trying to setup stateless dom0 host image. The idea is to make dom0 host diskless booted off storage/pxe. What are the best practices of making such a setup ? I already tried nfs-root iscsi-root and aoe-root all these setups works perfect, what about making xen running rootless I mean in ramdisk ? _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Are any versions of the Cisco 7940/7960 or 7940G/7960G phones compatible with the 802.4af Power over Ethernet Standard? Ok, I know the question has been asked before, but googling has turned up several contradictory results: 1/ No - not at all 2/ Maybe - 79XXG will work 3/ With a special cable/dongle (a la wikki) I am looking at getting

Setting up a 'rootless' server - user and auth_user cannot be the same
I am trying to follow http://wiki.dovecot.org/HowTo/Rootless to set up a personal dovecot server that does not use 'root' and does not need to change uids/gids. I'm trying to set it up on a Cygwin personal system. The problem I'm running into though, the directions say to set "user" and "auth_user" to be the same in this setup. However when you do this, Dovecot

passwd authentication issues (ATTN: Petar)
Hi, Petar, For whatever reason, I didn't see your most recent reply until I checked the web archives. To answer your questions... Is my dovecot running chrooted? Not that I know of. However, the option to (apparently) decide this is confusing at best. Here is what I have entered. # chroot login process to the login_dir. Only reason not to do this is if you # wish to run the whole

Best practices direction
Ok, With all that has been going on with the list today I may be sticking my head out of my gopher hole and find a 12 gauge at point blank. But I am going to take the chance.... I have just started using * about a month ago. I have a small unit setup at home running all my PSTN and VoIP lines. I am using external SIP and IAX soft phones from work and everything is running. I want to do more,

For Mac OS X users... Xquartz and RandR.
Just as a note.. Xquartz is going to have RANDR capabilities in Xquartz 2.6.0, thanks to the work of Jeremy Huddleston and Jan Hauffa. Right now on Macports if you install xorg-server-devel it will be a build with what is currently in of RandR... its still not totally finished, but it would be nice if some Mac Users could test how it works so far with Wine... if we find bugs now, it could help

freenx-0.5.0-8.c4.noarch.rpm is in testing
We have created a new version of freenx (freenx-0.5.0-8.c4.noarch.rpm) and moved it to the testing repo. This is based on the code displayed at the LWE in San Francisco ... http://lwn.net/Articles/146825/ http://www.linuxjournal.com/article/8489 (though it is not officially released as stable by the freenx people) This version should handle printing and reconnecting to running sessions much

different views of a imap account
Hi, I've looked around a few times to see if I could figure the answer to this question but I think I may not know the right question to ask... The scenario I have is that I'm running dovecot, exim and procmail on one server (using maildir storage) and also have apache on another server. I can run squirrel mail, roundcube, etc. all on the web server and access all my email just fine. I

Dial out issues.
Dear all. I have what appears to be a configuration error but I cannot for the life of me see what it is. (I am a newbie) I have searched the wikki and google etc but still none the wiser. Any help would be very gratefully received. Problem: Unable to make outgoing calls via E1 euroISDN Digium TE110p card, given congestion signal as per config, unable to open zap channel. Orientation and configuration help
This sounds to me like a "RTFM" question, but I've read the Wiki, and looked through the m.l. archives as far back as July... I still don't have a clear answer, so I'm posting here :/ I'm currently using mutt as my mail client. It runs on the same host that runs the sendmail MTA for my domain. So sendmail "delivers" my mail to /var/mail/<username>,

freenx
Hello, I am having problems getting freenx running in CentOS 4.5 i386_64. I know this is not a new problem, however, I havn't found a solution in all the postings I found on the web. I did exactly what is supposed to work and described in detail at http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/FreeNX After doing that I can connect to the server with nxcleint without problem but I get only a black

Rootless configuration
I'm trying to setup a rootless configuration so I can better manage the e-mail that comes to the mailbox of a unix account I have. I've successfully compiled Dovecot and followed the instructions for a rootless configuration, tweaking my config until Dovecot returns no errors. However I've got to a stage where upon running ~/..../sbin/dovecot it just quits with no server running and

osx permission issue
what makes you believe that ssh is accessing the files ? ok, rsync on remote mac is being spawned by sshd, so i gave full disk access to the sshd binary , too (as it may inherit restrictions to sub processes) and restarted ssh service , but unfortunately it makes no difference. did you mean that or something different ? roland Am 28.03.20 um 16:20 schrieb Ben Bass: > Hi Roland. > >

[ANNOUNCE] xorg-server 1.9.99.901
Ok, I think we've done enough damage for one release. Thanks everyone for pulling a long weekend to get changes prepared and reviewed. We're still missing the threaded input stuff, but that needs more review and I think we wore Tiago out this time around. If someone wants to propose merging it after the freeze, I think we should consider doing it. Note that this tarball depends on
