Dovecot in OpenBSD ports system
Hi
I have put together dovecot port for the OpenBSD ports system. The port
has yet to be submitted, but is finished awaiting testing from a wider
audience. I have been using dovecot successfully on OpenBSD/sparc64
-current for months now with no problems.
Would you recommend including the CR+LF patch?

Calls being disconnected across VPN
Hey All,
Sometimes we are running into issues with calls randomly being
disconnected. We have a couple of phones is in a remote office. We
have a PIX-to-PIX VPN setup between the offices. I know neither of
these devices provide QOS but we usually don't run into any problems. I
notice this problem when we are in a conference call with one of the
employees at the remote office and a

wineserver and kernel 2.6-test10
Hi.
I've tried GTA3 on wine with the kernel 2.6-test10 and I've found it a lot
faster than with the 2.4.22.
The problem is that the games is very fast but it's not smooth, once a second
it'll block for some millseconds but this not happen always and not with the
same frequency... this happens the same with or without kernel preemption.
After some tryes I've discovered that

Transaction log file contains now only message UIDs rather than message
sequences. I'm not really sure why I originally thought sequences were
better.. 0.99 Dovecot used UIDs too. A lot of difficult logic (which was
also broken) went away with this change.
Fixed also "Maildir sync: UID inserted in the middle of mailbox" errors.
I can't anymore get this

I just joined this list a couple days ago...what''s up with all the spam?
I maintain about 8 or so googlegroups lists and have never received any

Gompertz-Makeham hazard models---test for significant difference
Hi, all.
I'm working with published paleodemographic data (counts of skeletons that
have been assigned into an age-range category, based upon observed
morphological characteristics). For example, the following is the age
distribution from a prehistoric cemetery in Egypt:

1.4 Random disconnects
Hi,
We just upgraded to 1.4 and I'm noticing weird issues. I have noticed
that asterisk stops running and I need to restart in order for us to
receive calls. We receive our calls via a local sip provider over a
dedicated T-1. We never have had an issue before until the upgrade to
1.4. It seems like asterisk gets hung up on a certain call and dumps.
Anyone else noticing anything like

when/where to set MAIL env variable?
I am trying to get dovecot to work on a system that uses qmail as its MTA. As
is typical on such systems, the user's primary inbox is an mbox file called
Mailbox, in their home directory. Global shell config files /etc/csh.cshrc and
/etc/profile set the MAIL environment variable to ~/Mailbox for the users,
which is enough to satisfy their interactive mail clients such as pine, mutt,
and elm.

G729 issues on 1.4 beta 3
Hello Everyone,
I just upgraded to the latest beta version and I am running into one
problem. We purchased g729a licenses from digium and they aren't
loading anymore. If I roll back asterisk to 1.2.10 the codecs work
fine. I've downloaded the new 1.4 version of the codec from their
website and re-registerd everything with no luck.
Here is the error message:

Speed and memory probs writing large Maildir
I have Dovecot 0.99.9.1 compiled from the source, without SSL, running
on a Red Hat 9.0 system - EXT3 file system, Pentium Pro 233 MHz, Intel
motherboard, 128M RAM, IBM 40Gig 7200 RPM HD. I find reading and
searching to be nice and fast, and comparing it with Courier IMAP on a
Celeron 824 MHz, I think Dovecot is generally not much slower, which
means it may well be faster than Courier in some or

MeetMe hardware dimensioning
Hi all.
What is the best hardware configuration to handle this following
scenario?
- 4 IVR menu with conference applications for each option;
- Only SIP/g711 user access
- 3500 simultaneous users(800 at the beginning)
- No ZAP channels
Where is the most important point of failure? CPU? Ethernet? RAM?
Im planning to separate in three servers:

openldap - samba
I am having a problem getting users that were added in smbldap-useradd to be
able to login.
After I add them they are visible, but you can see I get this error -
pdb_get_group_sid:
Failed to find Unix account for test10
I believe that this has something to do with nss_ldap. because doing a
getent passwd, it doesn't display any smb info.
Any debugging info or help would be amazing, I'm

dovecot 2.0rc2 Cannot delete a folder with Thunderbird (delete, not move to Trash)

InstructionSimplify: adding a hook for shufflevector instructions
Thanks, Sanjay, that makes sense. The opportunity for improving instcombining splat sounds promising.
Another question about shuffle simplification. This is a testcase from test/Transforms/InstCombine/vec_shuffle.ll:
define <4 x i32> @test10(<4 x i32> %tmp5) nounwind {
%tmp6 = shufflevector <4 x i32> %tmp5, <4 x i32> undef, <4 x i32> <i32 1, i32 undef, i32

0.99.10-test13
http://dovecot.procontrol.fi/test/
- Hopefully OpenSSL is fixed :)
- We sometimes produced invalid ENVELOPE with 8bit headers. That could
really have broken things (broke it in test12).
So, what's left is to make PAM work well..

0.99.10-test1
http://dovecot.procontrol.fi/test/
Maildir syncing now works pretty much as described in my earlier mail.
It was quite a large change, so please test this :)
So the new and great features:
- It's faster.
- If someone renames maildir file just before we try to use it, we now
resync the maildir and try to find it again. Before we just failed. It's
also possible that the filename changed
