Hi all again... I did a chroot patch with ability to change uid and gid. To anyone on vorbis-dev, I'm *REALLY* sorry must be tired or something.. =) DS. <p><p><p> -------------- next part -------------- A

[RFC] Move btrfsck in to the btrfs command
NOTE: in order to apply this patch you should: git mv btrfsck.c cmd-fsck.c This patch moves btrfsck in to "btrfs fsck". It also adds support for symlinks to the btrfs binary to retain compablity, =) I think something should be done to the help description but i''m not sure what... Anyway, feedback is welcome. -- To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe

Configure SSL problem
Hi everyone I have been trying to get Dovecot installed with OpenSSL support, but no matter what I do, when I run Configure, it says "Building with SSL support.........No". I have even tried configure --with-ssl=openssl, to no avail. I have built and installed OpenSSL, and libssl.so and libcrypto.so are in the /lib directory - what more does Dovecot want? I have tried figuring it out

Starting Dovecot?
Hello! I have laid SSL aside for the time being, and continued compiling and installing Dovecot. Now I don't know how to start it! I have been through the config file and mostly left things as-is. I have created the dovecot user and group and put only dovecot user in the dovecot group. Then I tried imap-master, as specified in the INSTALL documentation, but there is no such file! Under

[FYI] Static compile and a few questions...
Hi, To simplify a static compile you could change the -l order to add ogg after vorbis, else a static compile won't work. You could also add a LIBTOOLFLAGS that is at the right place in the linking stage with a comment like "add '-all-static' here to do a static compile.(usefull for chroot installs) Right place is: LINK = $(LIBTOOL) --mode=link $(CCLD) -all-static

This looks useful. If you want it included, it'll at a minimum need to be factored out a bit

WinAmp3 Plugin
Thanks. Is there anything that we can do? I can't seem to find the source to the plug-in. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong place? A Modest Definition List Proposal
Howdy, I've been thinking a lot about definition list syntax, and what I did and didn't like about the PHP Markdown Extra syntax (which seems to be a de-facto standard, discount notwithstanding, yes?). What I came up with is a single character change to the PHP Markdown Extra syntax. I just published a detailed explanation of my thoughts and reasoning for this on [my

md5,des etc..
Hoping that this is not OT.. Hi I want to write a simple perl script to see if my system supports des or md5 as the password encryption scheme..what is the easiest way.. one of course is to look at the /etc/shadow file and then parsing the passwd field, any better way..?? Thx, Arni

0.99.9 release candidate 1
0.99.9 should really be released soon. There's been quite a lot of important fixes since 0.99.8.1. There's still some recent counter strangeness, but it wasn't perfect before either. mbox still doesn't necessarily notice flag changes unless they're written into index file (ie. non-Dovecots and Dovecot without index files). But it wasn't perfect before either.

powercom UPS shoutdown discussion
Thank you for your response. The point is that I have configured my system to shut down at the event "upsc Inform@localhost ups.status"!="OL", not at "LB". So there will be no /etc/killpower file created. At an ups.status != "OL" event, the following script named "notifyme" is run: echo `date` >> /root/upsLog echo " No power, shutting

apache log backups
I'm watching my backup via rsync, throttled to a very low speed. Looks like downloading apache logs is taking the longest time (when I'm rsyncing over an old copy of the same data) because it's not noticing that, for example, www.chaosreigns.com-access.log.196.gz on the origin is the same file as www.chaosreigns.com-access.log.186.gz on the destination, so *everything* is getting
