The only work I know about is an initial support for mpeg2 decode

Some of these details could be wrong, in that case hopefully someone

Hi Richard;
Are you doing the operations on these files from the MPE prompt, or are you
in the posix shell at the time of the edit/pipe, whatever? And what MPE
filetype are you working on? Problem is that samba

Connection Nodes
Hello All,
I have been looking over Tinc & VPE for a project and really like what I
have seen in Tinc.
In the VPE documentation, I came across:
-----------------------------------------------------------
*connect = ondemand|never|always|disabled *
Sets the connect mode (default: always). It can be always (always try to
establish and keep a conenction to the given host), never (never

Moving new email from the mail spool to the inbox
We are considering switching from the Washington UW IMAP server to
Dovecot for performance reasons, but we make use of the feature in the
UW server that automatically moves new email from the mail spool to the
IMAP INBOX. Has anyone implemented this in Dovecot, or considered
implementing it ? We have a large number of users, so cannot easily
change the way that we deliver email.

File locking problems and duplicate emails with the snarf plugin
Two weeks ago we switched all our IMAP users (around 25,000) from the
Washington IMAP server to Dovecot, and since then there have been
several occasions when reading new email just hangs, and duplicate
emails appear. We are using the 'snarf' plugin to copy new email to the
inbox, and it looks as though the problems are caused by file locking.
We have been using the Washington IMAP server

Stale NFS file handle and duplicated messages
We recently moved all our users from the Washington IMAP server to
Dovecot. There has been a substantial improvement in performance, but
some users are reporting duplicate messages, and we see 'Stale NFS file
handle' errors in the syslog. Does anyone know what would cause this ?
The errors relate to the index file, eg.

valid_chroot_dirs question
Hello,
I've got a dovecot setup using PAM and real system users. In this setup
I also use pure-ftpd to give local users ftp access to their $HOMEs.
To have pure-ftpd chroot into the user home i replaced /home/user
with /home/user/./ in /etc/passwd. Unfortunately this breaks Dovecot
this way:
Oct 23 18:18:20 localhost dovecot: Invalid chroot directory
'/home/foo' (user foo) (see

Independent Components Analysis
A colleague suggested that some R software was available for estimating

If so, I''d appreciate any pointers .

Plotting symbols with two positions?
Thanks a lot to Demitris for a prompt answer some minutes ago on another
tread (see below). To avoid excess mails on the list, I move onto next
question:
I have another small plotting problem that confuses me. I want to plot
results from a field trial series, using the numbers of the trials as
symbols in the plot.

My apology to the list, as it turns out the moment after I hit the send
button, I found that the first element in the list was a null. The error
message reflects that.

update.packages()
Dear all,
W.XP
I recently upgraded to R2.10.0 and did what I usually do: copied all
"special" libraries from the old installation and then used
"update.packages()" on the command line. Nothing happened. Then I clicked
on the same command on the droplist which generated
"update.packages(ask='graphics')", but still with no effect.

Boxplots illustrating the fixed effects in a lme object
Hello all,
I posted a similar question recently but I suspect that it was not well
enough formulated to trigger any answers. So I try again:
Is there a way to produce boxplots (or something similar) that uses the
estimated fixed effects of an lme{nlme} object? When I want to know the
mean, I use estimable{gmodels} together with an appropriate matrix. I did
look for a similar tool to estimable in
