vpopmail support?
Well, I read that back in 0.98 or so vpopmail support should work so I assumed it would be enabled in 0.99 but here's what I get.
gcc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I../.. -I../../src/lib -I/usr/local/vpopmail/include -g -O2 -Wall -W -g -O2 -Wall -W -c userinfo-vpopmail.c

vpopmail - again
OK, dovecot compiles fine and starts up. I changed the auth_userinfo var to vpopmail, fired up imap-master and tried to login via webmail and my log spits out the following:
imap-login: Nov 26 14:50:50 Error: Can't connect to imap-auth at auth: Connection Refused
imap-login: Nov 26 14:50:51 Error: Can't connect to imap-auth at vpopmail: Connection Refused
Any ideas?

Hi,
Suddenly, I find my little r is sick.
Given:
#! /usr/bin/env r

unlink ('tmp.html')
p = openPage ('tmp.html')
hwrite ("Hello World", p)
closePage (p)
browseURL ('tmp.html')
It worked fine a few days ago, but now it says:

[Very OT] Steve Jobs, is he sick?
For us "Railers" on Mac systems we all probably watched Steve Job''s
keynote at the WWDC yesterday. Was it just me, or did Steve look
"sick"? I mean he has lost a lot of weight and his skin was very drawn.

Sick and wrong!
Karanbir,
No one should ever have to go through that. I am sorry to hear that
someone has done that evil deed to you. May they be forgiven, but know the
pain that they have caused you and repent of their sins. And if there's
something I can do to help, please let me know.

Possible Bug & Question
Hi there,
Amazing changes! I really like what you''ve done with BackgrounDRb and I hope
you continue developing it, since it was definitely somewhat languishing
before.
One small error stuck out for me, though. The create method requires an
argument even if one isn''t used, such that if you have:
def create
@results = Hash.new
end
The server throws an error about trying to

Sick Samba 3.0.14a-3 Server - in a world of pain!
I wrote such a generic subject line because I'm stuck and not quite
sure where to go...
It's a Samba 3.0.14a-3 server running on Debian stable. It uses LDAP
authentication and is the primary Domain server on the network.
Until around a month ago the server '''seemed''' to be fine, but now I
have to massage it to life every morning just so the users can access

[JOB] Robust RoR Web Application in NYC
Hello All,
I know that a local position is not optimal, but I'm working for a funding
company that is overhauling their existing RoR platform and is looking to
bring on another full time Ruby developer. The team is 10 strong right now,
each having strong programming fundamentals and they are not having any
problem retaining them. The team is a group of like minded individuals and

[LLVMdev] VMKit Boehm MMTk Compilation
For anyone who encounters this issue in the future, my issue was the
configuration of llvm-gcc.
Configure with --with-llvmgccdir=YOUR/PATH doesn't work, instead you
are supposed to use --with-llvmgcc=PATH/TO/llvm-gcc and
--with-llvmgxx=/PATH/TO/llvm-g++
That will at least get you past my error.
Best,

"inotify_handler No data on inotify fd?"
I've got a samba server that's occasionally spewing inotify errors.
The classic, "smbd/notify_inotify.c:inotify_handler No data on inotify
fd?" type errors solved by
kernel change notify = false
Now, everything is working perfectly on this box unless one or two
users leave files open from specific machines (this is as far as I can
tell, it's hard to get good info from the

root fs upgraded to ext3 on rh 6.2 based machine problem when not cleanly unmounted
Hello,
I search through but I didn't find a clear answer about it.
I have a rh 6.2 based box where I made many steps of upgrades.
Some of them, not being available the binary rpm glibc 2.1 based, I
obtained using src.rpm from rh 7.2 and then runnig
#rpm --rebuild package.src.rpm
and then installing the generated binary: great sw rpm!!!
My rpm version is 4.0.2-6x for both rpm, rpm-devel,

help with static userdb
Hey,
This may be a dumb question... I'm trying to set up 1.0 with a static
userdb, and I'm getting stuck. I have:
userdb static {
args = uid=500 gid=500 home=/domains/%d/%n
}
When I attempt to log in as, say, kyle at memoryhole.net (via telnet, so
I *know* I'm logging in as that user), the debug log says that it
thinks my home directory is

doveot reporting "No space left on device" - yet df show plenty of space / inodes.
Hi,
I am running dovecot 1.0.rc7 on a Suse Linux server. The server has approx 200+ mailboxes.
Last week the filesystem (/dev/mapper/datavg/dat2lv) ran out of space - causing it to do into read-only mode. When I realised this I allocated some more space and re-booted the machine...
Strangely it seems that dovecot is still having problems... It's like dovecot doesn't realise that
