Xen on AM2 nForce 590 (Asus M2N32-SLI Deluxe)
While I wait for the Xen 3.0 Test CD to download, has anyone has luck using an Asus M2N32-SLI Deluxe motherboard (NVIDIA nForce 590 SLI MCP chipset)? The CPU is an AMD Athlon64 X2 3800+ AM2 w/ 2GB DDR2 533. The motherboard mostly works under Gentoo using kernel 2.6.18 with the "noapic" kernel boot option in my grub.conf file. The only major issue with the Gentoo kernel

Looking for motherboard/chipset experience, again
What about the Asus M2N-SLI Deluxe motherboard? It has 7 SATA ports, supports ECC memory, socket AM2, generally looks very attractive for my home storage server. Except that it, and the nvidia nForce 570-SLI it''s built on, don''t seem to be on the HCL. I''m hoping that''s just "yet", not reported yet. Anybody run Solaris on it? Or at least on any

Motherboard + 3ware 9650SE suggestions
Hello everyone! Working on putting a storage server together and wanted to get some input as to what motherboards have been working for people with the 3ware 9650SE-12ML raid board. This is large, bulk storage, 2-tier stuff. This will not be used for realtime editing of video or something, but a gig nic is almost a given I hope. I have an AMD chip available (AM2 slot) but I can get a new chip

Any recomendations for Motherboards?
What socket AM2 motherboards out there work well with xen (i.e. support > 4G ram, sata and lan chipsets work). I''m looking to probably run one of the lowpower Athlon 64 X2 4200''s in it. I''d also like to see atleast 4 ram slots. Anyone have any recomendations? Thanks, Doug _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list

Anaconda doesn't support raid10
So after troubleshooting this for about a week, I was finally able to create a raid 10 device by installing the system, copying the md modules onto a floppy, and loading the raid10 module during the install. Now the problem is that I can't get it to show up in anaconda. It detects the other arrays (raid0 and raid1) fine, but the raid10 array won't show up. Looking through the logs

RE: AM2 motherboards with HVM support
It would appear that BIOS revision F8 fixes this issue. Virtualization is now a supported option. _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users

Hello, We have recently purchased two Supermicro servers, AS-1021M-T2RB (http://www.supermicro.com/Aplus/system/1U/1021/AS-1021M-T2RV.cfm), and have built them both with CentOS 5 operating system. They are identical, apart from the manufacturer of the disk drives. Kernel is: Linux version 2.6.18-8.1.6.el5 (mockbuild at builder6.centos.org) (gcc version 4.1.1 20070105 (Red Hat 4.1.1-52)) #1 SMP

External SATA enclosures: SiI3124 and CentOS 5?
Tired of "little problems" trying to keep 7 drives working in an old desktop computer, I'm considering an external SATA drive enclosure with a controller card based on the Sil3124. http://www.ipcdirect.net/servlet/Detail?no=152 I'm a bit concerned about long-term support, namely that the company's driver page only lists drivers through RedHat 4.
