how to retrieve robust se in coxph
Hi, I am using coxph in simulations and I want to store the "robust se" (or "se2" in frailty models) for each replicate. Is there a function to retrieve it, like vcov() for the variance estimate? help with coxme
Hi there, I have a question on fitting data by coxme. In particular I want to fit a random intercept and random slope cox model. Using the rats dataset as an example, I generated another covariate x2 and want to specify a random slope for x2. Here is my code: x2=matrix(rep(runif(50), 3), 50, 3) x2=as.vector(t(x2)) rats2=cbind(rats, x2) But when I used the coxme function as follows, it gave

function 'vcov' for coxph in R 2.0.0
Hi there, After I fitted a cox model, I used vcov to obtain the variance of the parameter estimate. It worked correctly in R 1.9.1. But it failed in R 2.0.0 and the error message is Error in vcov(cox.1) : no applicable method for "vcov" I don't know if it is a bug or there is some update on this function. Thanks! a generic Adaptive Gauss Quadrature function in R?
Hi there, I am using SAS Proc NLMIXED to maximize a likelihood with multivariate normal random effects. An example is the two part random effects model for repeated measures semi-continous data with a cluster at 0. I use the "model y ~ general(loglike)" statement in Proc NLMIXED, so I can specify a general log likelihood function constructed by SAS programming statements. Then the

trajectory plot (growth curve)
Hi there, I want to make trajectory plots for data as follows: ID time y 1 1 1.4 1 2 2.0 1 3 2.5 2 1.5 2.3 2 4 4.5 2 5.5 1.6 2 6 2.0 ... That is, I will plot a growth curve for each subject ID, with y in the y axis, and time in the x axis. I would like to have all growth curves in the same plot. Is there

2 questions on matrix manipulation in R
Hi there, I have two questions on matrix manipulation. For the first one, I want to calculate the product of each column of a matrix (say A) with another vector (say b). That is, if A has 5 columns (a1, a2, a3, a4, a5), I want to obtain a matrix with columns (a1*b, a2*b, aA3*b, a4*b, a5*b). Can I do it directly, without using "for" loop? For the second one, I have a matrix A of

pdIdent in smoothing regression model
Hi there, I am reading the 2004 paper "Smoothing with mixed model software" in Journal of Statistical Software, by Ngo and Wand. I tried to run their first example in Section 2.1 using R but I had some problems. Here is the code: library(nlme) fossil <- read.table("fossil.dat",header=T) x <- fossil$age y <- 100000*fossil$strontium.ratio knots <-

help on pspline in coxph
Hi there, I have a question on how to extract the linear term in the penalized spline in coxph. Here is a sample code: n=100 set.seed(1) x=runif(100) f1 = cos(2*pi*x) hazard = exp(f1) T = 0 for (i in 1:100) { T[i] = rexp(1,hazard[i]) } C = runif(n)*4 cen = T<=C y = T*(cen) + C*(1-cen) data.tr=cbind(y,cen,x) fit=coxph(Surv(data.tr[,1],

odfWeave
Dear -r-helpers, I'm trying to get my students to use odfWeave. Windows users are having trouble. I would appreciate advice. Comment 1: Hello I have spent a while today trying to get odfWeave to be successful I installed the unzip and zip program but it has not changed the error message.I have copied the error message below but I am sure it is the one others have experienced. >

Problem with package compilation
Hi, I have a R package with some functions made all of then only with R code. I use the command R CMD build to build a package that I can install on linux, windows or mac, because all the code is only R code. But I have some problems with R version. For each new R version I need to rebuild the package to be install in this new version. It is possible to make a package without this R Version

future time stamps warning
Time stamps are correct and my system time is correct. I am now tried to use Sys.setFileTime() to update time stamps as proposed. This does not help. The windows and debian builds give different reports on the time stamp issue. https://win-builder.r-project.org/incoming_pretest/eurostat_3.2.8_20180920_122655/Windows/00check.log

greetings, and first question
Hi, Nice project. I saw the checkin for jbehave and I thought "SOLD!" One question, is there a reason that it cannot be installed using gem? It would make starting the server easy. Other people can also customize the server like they do with Jetty (which I think is the coolest servlet engine because of that). -- Shane http://www.shaneduan.com

[LLVMdev] Legalizing truncating store using atomic load.
Hi Lei, Le 31/05/2012 03:44, Lei Mou a écrit : > Problem solved by returning the second result of the ATOMIC_LOAD_OR node... You got the chain instead of the loaded value. I am trying calculate a probability using numerical integration. The first program I ran spit out an answer in a very short time. The program is below: ## START PROGRAM trial <- function(input) { pmvnorm(lower = c(0,0), upper = c(2, 2), mean = input, sigma = matrix(c(.1, 0, 0, .1), nrow = 2, ncol = 2, byrow = FALSE)) } require(mvtnorm) require(adapt) bottomB <- -5*sqrt(.1) topB <-
