Hi, after upgrading with yum upgrade my server doesn?t boot with kernel 2.6.9-42.0.2.plus.c4 d. Kernel CentOS-4 x86_64 (2.6.9-34.EL) works just fine. I use 2 HDD as RAID1. Unfortunaly this is a root server so i do not have any console output. This is rather disappointing cause i run mission critical applications on the server. I have a machine with many file system errors. I booted into rescue mode - I tried to run "e2fsck -p /dev/hda1" but it says something about inconsistency and cannot run with -p. what is the correct way to set an AMD64 CPU into performance mode at boot time? I have tried doing service network cpuspeed start, then killall -SIGUSR1 cpuspeed and this works but I cant get it working this way at boot. I have set chkconfig cpuspeed on but that didnt seem to help. I just want this particular machine to boot in performance mode and stay there. Jerry
