Row wise solving an equation
Hello R-list, How can I row wise solve a function for which the input variables are written in a matrix or a vector and have the calculated output added to the matrix or written in a vector? To specify my case in particular I continue: I would like R to calculate for me a value for ‘t’ which is function of input parameters A and B, which are comprised in a matrix called ‘ddt’ and some other

quick overhead sizing for DDT and L2ARC
Two related questions: - given an existing pool with dedup''d data, how can I find the current size of the DDT? I presume some zdb work to find and dump the relevant object, but what specifically? - what''s the expansion ratio for the memory overhead of L2ARC entries? If I know my DDT can fit on a ssd of size X, that''s good - but how much RAM do I need

samba 3 and acucobol vision files problem
I have a sort of legacy application based on Acucobol, that is using a samba 3 share for its application data files. I need to migrate it, going to release 6.2.0 of acucobol. In my tests it seems that I get some errors regarding files access: the program actually doesn't give particular errors, neither samba backend... (the problem resides in having some vcprint layout models for invoices

zpool fails with panic in zio_ddt_free()
Hello all, I am not sure my original mail got through to the list (I haven''t received it back), so I attach it below. Anyhow, now I have a saved kernel crash dump of the system panicking when it tries to - I believe - deferred-release the corrupted deduped blocks which are no longer referenced by the userdata/blockpointer tree. As I previously wrote in my thread on unfixeable

RFC: cleanup in Transforms/Utils
Hi, I'm looking to see what's the best way to solve the fact that these two utils mostly do the same thing: 1. lib/Transforms/Utils/Local.cpp : MergeBasicBlockIntoOnlyPred 2. lib/Transforms/Utils/BasicBlockUtils.cpp : MergeBlockIntoPredecessor (+cc some of the folks who touched at least one of these either originally or recently) Brief overview: 1. MergeBasicBlockIntoOnlyPred 2.

Recovering from kernel panic / reboot cycle importing pool.
Yesterday morning I awoke to alerts from my SAN that one of my OS disks was faulty, FMA said it was in hardware failure. By the time I got to work (1.5 hours after the email) ALL of my pools were in a degraded state, and "tank" my primary pool had kicked in two hot spares because it was so discombobulated. ------------------- EMAIL ------------------- List of faulty resources:

'Apparently' trouble with name spaces and Sweave...
Ben Bolstad experienced something odd while running R CMD check over a package of ours using r-devel (yesterday's fresh). He tracked down the problem to a vignette calling 'library(MASS)'. Please kindly ignore if this is a known (and temporary) issue. Laurent ----- Forwarded message from Ben Bolstad <bolstad@stat.berkeley.edu> ----- Return-Path:

[GSOC 2018] Implement a single updater class for Dominators
Hi Chijun, Great, seems like you did a lot of progress and understand the issues quite well! I have done some early sketch on the API of the new updater class. > From my current understanding, to solve the fragmentation problem of > the API, the new class first, need to maintain the DomTree and > PostDomTree class and deprecate the DefferredDominance class. > There are a couple of

[GSOC 2018] Implement a single updater class for Dominators
Hi Chijun, I left you my feedback in the doc (+ some nitpicks). Overall, it looks very solid and shows you understand the problem well and know what to expect. Your proposed timeline is reasonable and I don't see any major things to improve there. Don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions related to my comments (either here or in the document). Thanks, Kuba On Wed, Mar 21,

Hi Kuba, Thanks for your feedback. I have made some improvements on the proposal according to your feedback and clarify something on the time availability. I left comments on the questions you asked in the doc. Please check it out. Difficult to set a quiet formula in maanova
Hi, I am trying to run an analysis with the package maanova and I am not getting success. I suppose that I am wrong on set up the formula, so the issue may not be related to R, properly. I have two varieties of plants (V1 and V2). A group of each ones were treated and another was not treated. After treatment, in three different time RNA was collected from treated and from not treated plants for

[GSOC 2018] Implement a single updater class for Dominators
Hi Chijun, Thanks for your interest in the project. I have gone through most of the LLVM Kaleidoscope tutorial and I have > watched the video of the presentation “Dominator Trees and incremental > updates that transcend time” presented on the 2017 LLVM Developers’ > Meeting. I have also started to understand the algorithm mentioned in > the comments of the code related to the
