large disk volumes with 64bit kernel
I installed 4.4 on a machine that's got two RAID volumes, one of which is a bit over 2.1 terabytes. The installer had no problem. However, fsck does. Commenting out the volume in /etc/fstab, the machine will boot. The machine will mount the volume and use it. Everything seems fine except fsck, which seems, well, fscked. When trying to run fsck, it says: # fsck /dev/sdb1 fsck 1.35

yum: could not load sqlite, falling back to pickle
After cleaning up the issues with yum consuming the machine by allocating memory until it croaked (versioning issue with sqlite), and with the machine now stable and fully updated, I happened to notice this message at the start of yum runs: # yum check-update Warning, could not load sqlite, falling back to pickle Is this expected, or indication of a further problem? --

[LLVMdev] [LLVM 3.6.0] Metadata/Value split and RAUW.
Hello everyone, If I understand correctly after the Metadata/Value split the Metadata support of RAUW is limited by ValueAsMetadata and MDNodeFwdDecl (i.e. until cycled in MDNode are not resovled). And my question is. Is where any way to replace an MDNode which is referenced by other MDNodes w\o iterating over all MDNodes in LLMVContext to find and replace those references? Unfortunately I

help with SMBD!!!
Dear everyone, I've been trying to set up Samba server, so that I can access the files from a Windows XP laptop. The problem is: after executing /etc/init.d/smb start or /usr/sbin/service smb start the status report shows that SMBD is not running (NMBD is running). Later, I tried to start SMBD with SWAT, but the problem remains. Could anybody give me a hint about how to make

kinit succeeded but ads_sasl_spnego_krb5_bind failed
Hi all, I'm having trouble joining samba to active directory. My samba version is 3.0.28a-35 and krb is 1.6.1-17.el5. It's running on centos 5, kernel version 2.6.18-53.1.14.el5. It's running on vmware server by the way if that is of any significance. The specific error that I get are as follows: when testjoining the domain: [2008/03/18 04:34:07, 0]

samba-tool group removemembers, not working
> Hi Mark, can I ask just what you are trying to achieve ? Well, it's rather simple. I want to remove a domain member from the domain. Normally, I do that with ADUC, no problem. But for some reason I was having trouble with ADUC (since resovled, magically), so I thought I'd try the same thing using samba-tool. That's it really. You wrote further: > I hope you can see that

What about splitting the gtk-window-decorator ?!
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Yesterday I sent a patch (http://paste.ubuntu-nl.org/24252/) against the latest compiz ubuntu gutsy source package to Amaranth, to make compiz compile (and package, of course) the gtk-window-decorator in two ways: 1) as gtk-window-decorator (= compiz-gtk package) using these configuration parameters: --disable-gnome \

Compiz starts, but no 3D effects
I just installed Compiz on Ubuntu Feisty (Gutsy does not work on my hardware as per the release notes) via the http://ppa.launchpad.net/amaranth/ubuntu repo, which is the repo suggested in the compiz-fusion website. The machine is a Dell Inspiron E1505 / 6400 with the horrible ATI X1400 graphics card and 1680x1050 monitor. I installed XGL and the proprietary ATI driver, a combination that worked

Migration from UW-IMAP
I am attempting to test out dovecot on a server on a separate IP address from the live, functioning UW-IMAP. I am having mixed results with dovecot. An entirely new account that's never been used with UW-IMAP seems to work fine, but that's really not the point of the exercise. If I try changing over an existing account to use dovecot, I get a variety of issues. Testing with Apple

CodeWarrior for Microcontrollers under Wine, can't install
Hello, I'm trying to install CodeWarrior for Microcontrollers, an IDE used for development of embedded systems using microcontrollers from Freescale. (the Special Edition is available freely from their web page) The install begins correctly, however it aborts suddenly. Terminal output is: (7) [renan at amaranth:~] $ wine /media/Renan/CW_MCU_V6_2_SE_11262008.exe

Hedge Fund Job Opening
Hi all. I've been lurking and posting on this list for a few years now. Prior to that, I managed the US Convertible Arbitrage portfolio for Amaranth Advisors. I recently agreed to manage a similar portfolio for a different hedge fund and am looking for someone to join me, essentially as the principal quant for a new San Francisco office. I've been very impressed with the posters on

samba-tool group removemembers, not working
Actually, I do/did leave the domain in the normal Windows way. But the (former) domain member computer still always show both in ADUC and samba-tool group listmembers "Domain Computers". So, I normally do a 2nd step by deleting the computer with ADUC. After doing so the computer no longer shows with samba-tool group listmembers "Domain Computers". I was simply looking for

Asterisk and DTMF
Hi list! I have an Asterisk server (1.2.14) connected to a E1 line via a TE410P, and some PAP2NA connected to it. The PAP2 DTMF configurations is set to INFO and Asterisk to INFO too. At first, is INFO method different from RFC2833?? Well, I have two problems. The first is that when I place a call to outside, via E1 trunk, sometimes I get some DTMF tones and I'm sure nobody hit any key. Seems

Ruby Gems version issue
Hi, When I try to launch my ruby on rails server, it says my ruby gems version is not up to date. However it is. I''ve even tried reinstalling ruby gems to the latest version, but it still says I have an old version. Does anyone know how to fix this issue? I''d be deeply grateful. Here is some code directly from my terminal (I''m on an ubuntu system):
