Hi,

So I''m now running on the real mysql gem, and speed is noticeably  
improved.

But unfortunately... if I leave it running for around 15 minutes, it  
still eats up enough system resources that I have to physically power  
off the computer.

Any other ideas out there?

Turn on debugging and find out exactly what''s happening by examining  
the logs.
