NPTL & Wine
Hi, My main systems are Gentoo based. I am investigating switching to NPTL on one of them that uses a couple of different versions of Wine built from source. In doing the research I found that the Gentoo ebuilds for Wine use NPTL. Does this mean that if I switch to NPTL that I must recompile my source-caode based versions of Wine? If so, can someone tell my what options I would use, most likely

Wine with NPTL
Hello, I'm running Slackware 10.2 with kernel 2.4.31, and I'm trying to install Wine. I have glibc vers 2.3.5. Linux thread libraries are saved in the /lib directory, while NPTL libraries are saved in /lib/ tls. Other than the source I downloaded I have no other version of wine on my machine. I ran '.configure --with-nptl=/lib/tls' and everything seemed to compile properly,

conditions for the db4/nptl bug?
Hi *, i run several CentOS4 systems as xen3 domU, and all of them suffer from the well-known-to-this-list db4/nptl bug: <https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=91933> so that i needed to rebuild db4 to make cyrus-imapd work. But a member of the centos devel ML reported that he has no problem at all running cyrus-imapd. Our setups are almost identical (dom0=FC6,

NPTL problem on Centos 4.4
Not sure where to ask this, I've been googling and not finding much that is helpful. At work I've got a multi-threaded program targeted at Linux. It compiles on RHEL 2.1 and 3, and is targeted at 2.1, 3, and 4. UP until today, the binary built on 3 has worked fine on 4. But on RHEL4 update 4 it dies a horrible death in pthread_create. I have reproduced the problem on Centos 4.4, where I

[LLVMdev] llvm-gcc4 needs update on libstdc++-v3/config/linker-map.gnu ?
Hi, I'm trying to track down some nasty glibc failures on Linux. I think the problem is that my system compiler (3.4.6) doesn't match llvm-gcc (4.0.x) so when the llc compiled programs run they don't quite get the right libstdc++. If I run a test program with: LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/path/to/my/llvm-gcc4/libs Output/sieve.llc then I get this: Output/sieve.llc: symbol lookup error:

yum install libstdc++-devel
On CentOS 4.5 (x86_64); happening on several different machines with libstdc++ and libstdc++-devel v. 3.4.6-8 only one of the i386 or x86_64 versions of libstc++-devel is installed if I yum install libstdc++-devel it will install the x86_64 version and remove the i386 version, but not warn me. Similarly if the i386 version is installed it will install the x86_64 and remove the i386,

Re: [uml-user] NPTL/db4 problem with FC3
(Me Too ++: I''m running into the same issues with a non-nptl DB4 and rpm on rhel4) And making it even more interesting: http://www.redhat.com/docs/manuals/enterprise/RHEL-4-Manual/release-notes/as-x86/ "Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 will no longer include support for LinuxThreads. Therefore, applications that require LinuxThreads support must be updated before they will be able to

[LLVMdev] Function "llvm::PassManager::run" not defined.
Hi, I am trying to use GDB for debugging my llvm pass. I am following the documentation http://llvm.org/docs/WritingAnLLVMPass.html. When i am doing this the following error and warning messages I am getting. I tried to remove the warning by apt-get install libc6-dbg:i386 command for updating the libc6 but still getting the same. Fwd: [bug & patch] libstdc++ in linux_base-7.1_3
Hey guys, hope you don't mind this forward email, because I have been reading the 'flashpluginwrapper problem.' subject. The bug is in the linux_base, but nobody seem to check on this in the freebsd-ports. Looks like Brandon D. Valentine might needs to create a PR to get the better attention and keep the track. Cheers, Mezz >Summary: > >This began as a problem report
