can't "make"
Hello. I just fresh-installed 5.3 onto my laptop, and I have a problem trying to get wifi working. Be aware that I have 5.2 on it, and did the same process, and it worked great! I'm using http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/Laptops/WirelessAR5007EG -- as I did for 5.2. The problem arises in section 6: [mpk at a3680 madwifi-hal-0.10.5.6-r3968-20090402]$ make /bin/sh: line 0: cd:

Suspicious activity on domain
Hello, Last week I have detected with Zabbix that a member of my Samba domain had been downloading at a rate of around 8 Mbps for two days and a half. When asking the person to whom belonged the machine, he didn't know he was downloading anything but he said he had observed his machine had slowed down since then. I took a tcpdump of the traffic before terminating his session on Windows

smbmount case sensitivity problem
Hi- I've got a weird case sensitivity problem. I've looked through past messages but haven't been able to find a solution. This is an environment using samba to mount shares from a Solaris machine onto a Red Hat machine (originally done because of 16-bit UID limitations in Red Hat 6.x). Now I've upgraded to Red Hat 7.2 (samba 2.2.1a) and the share from the Solaris machine

pulling userinfo from trusted domain RE-POST
Sorry to repeat this but I had no answers. Anyone up for a chat about this. More info: wbinfo -m returns nothing wbinfo -t , wbinfo -u wbinfo -g returns users for the primary (Staff Domain, but not the student domain). I'm sure I had it returning info from both primary and secondary domains when the servers were windows 2000 servers earlier this year, So I believe winbind should be able

/etc/samba/smbpasswd keeps changing - pulling my hair out
This is really bizarre. Running Samba 3.0.4 on SuSE 9.1. The password backend is smbpasswd. Each user has a system and samba account and everything has worked as expected until recently. But now, every new user I create is unable to log into Samba server (older users are still able to log in). Inspecting log.smbd the following messages are displayed: [2004/07/22 11:44:56, 2]

CVS-HEAD and Caller ID -- Pulling my hair out!
I have looked into this callerid problem now for a few hours. 1) Caller id on a sipura-2000 now shows: cidname 2000 Where cidname is the new outputted formate from the cid_rewrite agi script and 2000 is the exten number. In looking at the Dial() application, option "o" 'o' -- Original (inbound) Caller*ID should be placed on the outbound leg of the call

Dear R community, I'm hoping someone out there has perhaps done this and can share their code and/or expertise with me. I need to pull recession periods out of a hydrograph - can anyone help me with this? I want to create a subset from streamflow data that consists of just the recession curves - the decreasing runoff after the passage of a peak flow. would really appreciate any help on

Pulling stalls before 52MB (works via netcat)
I can push fine over ssh but pulling via rsync or scp always stalls at about the same point which must be between 26MB and 52MB. I can pull via netcat just fine. I've tried compiling HPN out of the install on both the client and server and I've tried -C on the client with the same result. I'm on Gentoo. Any ideas? - Grant

"Locked", meaning you're running a ~3 old OS with no security or bugfix updates?

RES: winbind/wbinfo not pulling info from W2K AD PDC
I've had a further look at this now and a hunt through some mail lists and I think it must have something to do with the windbind pipe in /tmp/.windbind/pipe. From what I understand it's the pipe that passes the windbind info onto other processes - although I may be wrong? Looking at my setup the pipe file isn't being created when starting winbind and after a full reboot and starting
