Strange regalloc behaviour: one more available register causes much worse allocation
Preamble
--------
While working on an IR-level optimisation completely unrelated to register
allocation I happened to trigger some really strange register allocator
behaviour causing a large regression in bzip2 in spec2006. I've been trying
to fix that regression before getting the optimisation patch committed, because
I don't want to regress spec2006, but I'm basically fumbling in

Strange regalloc behaviour: one more available register causes much worse allocation
enableAdvancedRASplitCost() does the same thing as ConsiderLocalIntervalCost, but as a
subtarget option instead of a command-line option, and as I’ve said it doesn’t help because
it’s a non-local interval causing the eviction chain (RAGreedy::splitCanCauseEvictionChain
only considers the local interval for a single block, and it’s unclear to me how to make it
handle a non-local interval).

Hardware ASan Generating Unknown Instruction
Hi,
I am trying to execute a simple hello world program compiled like so:
path/to/compiled/clang -o test --target=aarch64-linux-gnu
-march=armv8.5-a -fsanitize=hwaddress
--sysroot=/usr/aarch64-linux-gnu/
-L/usr/lib/gcc/aarch64-linux-gnu/10.1.0/ -g test.c
However, when I look at the disassembly, there is an unknown
instruction listed at 0x2d51c:
000000000002d4c0 main:
2d4c0: ff c3 00 d1

[LLVMdev] ScheduleDAGInstrs computes deps using IR Values that may be invalid
Hi All,
I've encountered an issue where tail merging MIs is causing a problem with
the post-RA MI scheduler dependency analysis and I'm not sure of the best
way to address the problem.
In my case, the branch folding pass (lib/CodeGen/BranchFolding.cpp) is
merging common code from BB#14 and BB#15 into BB#16. It's clear that
there are 4 common instructions (marked with an *) in BB#14

Using objects within functions in formulas
Dear all,
I'm looking to create a formula within a function to pass to glmer()
and I'm having a problem that the following example will illustrate:
library(lme4)
y1 = rnorm(10)
x1 = data.frame(x11=rnorm(10), x12=rnorm(10), x13=rnorm(10))
x1 = data.matrix(x1)
w1 = data.frame(w11=sample(1:3,10, replace=TRUE), w12=sample(1:3,10,
replace=TRUE), w13=sample(1:3,10, replace=TRUE))

"Earlyclobber" but for a subset of the inputs
Hi all,
I'm working on a target whose registers have equal-sized subregisters and
all of those subregisters can be named (or the other way round: registers
can be grouped into super registers).
So for instance we've got 16 registers W (as in wide) W0..W15 and 32
registers N (as in narrow) N0..N31. This way, W0 is made by grouping N0 and
N1, W1 is N2 and N3, W2 is N4 and N5, ..., W15 is

Because the indexes are local to the backends.
If I make the recalc from one backend only, that one

monthly median in a daily dataset
Hello,
I have a multi-year dataset (see below) with date, a data value and a flag
for the data value. I want to find the monthly median for each month in this
dataset and then plot it. If anyone has suggestions they would be greatly
apperciated. It should be noted that there are some dates with no values and
they should be removed.
Thanks
Emily

HA firewall with tinc
I have 2 firewall in HA with keepalived. Can I use active the same tinc configuration on 2 firewalls ? using tun Interface with same ip on all 2 nodes is a problem ? tun device advertise itself on the network having an IP/MAC pairs (ARP) or the IP is only used by the system internally for routing so using the same configuration is right ? so one firewall be active, the other is passive. snmp ups Status: Not supported
Hi
I set up my ups with driver snmp-ups, and it get recognized as a AEC T2003.
In the nut-cgi upstats page input/output/load are displayed corectly, but the
Status field is marked as "Not supported".
Is "Status" important to initiate shutdown in case of low battery ? Will my
server shut down correctly ?
thanks
Massimo

fine so I could mount space on our windows network. Somehow this
got broken in the upgrade. My linux box is called k466a and my

If I do
