unixODBC Centos 5 Testing version
Trying to get a later version of the unixODBC RPM that is in Centos 5, I
read in some posting that unixODBC.x86_64 2.2.12-1.el5s2 was in the testing
repo but I was unable to locate it, currently it appears that we are
runningunixODBC-2.2.11-7.1. I have looked in the Centos 5 Testing
repo but do not
see the 2.2.12 version....anyone have any pointers to move me along, thanks.

PHP 5.2
To me, there seems to be growing support to requiring PHP 5.2 within the
next year, see http://www.gophp5.org/ . Does anyone know of plans to
release PHP 5.2 RPMS in any of the major repos?

Yum archive for PHP greater than 5.2.1 for CentOS 5.4?
Whether I like it or not I need to get a version of PHP that is greater than 5.2.1
as the latest SugarCRM version require this and as I am a module developer
I need to have one of the later versions of PHP on my machines.
Does anyone know of a reliable and good archive for PHP that provides
higher versions than the ones supplied by the upstream provider?
Thanks

Q about CentOS-4
I have a client with a server on CentOS-4 and I'm looking to upgrade to
latest horde/imp/etc.
clearly php 4.3.9-xx is not up to the task but I see that upgrades for
php & mysql are in CentOS-Plus
I see that CentOS-4 projects to get security updates until 3/2012 which
probably is the usefulness of the hardware itself.
So my questions...
- Will CentOS-Plus maintain the php/mysql packages

Newer MySQL in centos-plus?
Hi List,
I'm noticing that the CentOS-plus repo for 4.6 has MySQL 5.0.54 in it,
but the CentOS 5.1 repo does not have a newer rpm, leaving the
"newest" easily-available version as the vendor-provided mysql 5.0.22.
Is there a reason for this? We're wanting to try a newer MySQL under
CentOS 5.1 -- do any of the standard repos include such an RPM?
Thanks!

[OT] RedHat's licence, CentOS rebuild
Hello,
I've been talking with some friends about the Redhat's SRPMs release
issue. I've been reading the trademarks and some points of GPL. But
get some confusion around the questions:
Is redhat forced to release the sources of its product?
Is redhat forced, due GPL licence, to make the sources of its product
available to others (including those who don't buy the distro), and

RPM rebuild, cross compiling from x86 to x86_64
Hi
I want to recompile some RPMs (my own) for x86_64 arch from my i386
compatible build host (because of hardware restriction/funds).Is anyone
ever done this ? After a google search, it seems not so easy... i just
found this: http://www.speedblue.org/cross_compilation/ but haven't
tried it yet (i would have to convert these to RPM first).
How is it done for Centos SRPMS rebuilds ? is it a

mirroring with lftp
i've maintained a local centos repository at work using rsync, but it
seems the corp honchos have decided to block rsync at our firewall, plus
its never been 100% reliable, I'd get aborts on protocol errors
sometimes several times before pulling down a complete new distro update.
i'm trying to figure out how to do this with lftp, and its got me
somewhat stymied.

How to rebuild the Centos 6.4 iso images with the same contents as officially released iso images ?
I have read many Centos webpages and mail archives but found only raw descriptions of the build process.
My first aim is to rebuild CentOS-6.4-x86_64-LiveCD.iso using the Centos repositories
and preferably without recompiling the SRPMs, just to verify the build process.
My final aim is to create a Centos LiveOS contain the packages in CentOS-6.4-x86_64-minimal.iso
plus some network configuration

Graphics aid needed for the CentOS-5 efforts
We need a bit of help with the design and graphics in CentOS-5, people
interested in helping out should get in touch with me or any of the
CentOS developers, either here on the List, or email or via the irc
channels.
If you are a graphic designer or can do a bit of decent artwork stuff,
now is the time to get involved with the project, and help make it a bit
better :)
