connecting 2 servers using an FC card via iSCSI
Hi there,
I have one server acting as a iscsi target running windows storage server r2
sp2 and the other server is running centos as an initiator. They are
connected to a switch over a 1Gbit ethernet connection. the target is a Dell
NF600 and the server running centos is a Poweredge R900.
We want to move this configuration to a FC based installation using a Dell

call file mechanism
Hi list,
I have a call file as following and it works. But, I don't really understand
its mechanism.
The SIP/voipbuster is a sip trunk which I set up in freePBX with voipbuster
account. And 2874 is one of my extension which was assigned to x-lite
client.
When I place this call file in outgoing folder, it is able to dial out my
home phone at 001xxxxxxxxxx. However, the Dst in call logs show

Out bound calls 'you must first dial a 1'
Hello,
I have asterisk 1.2.9 running on a Debian sarge server, my outbound dial
plan looks something like this:
[outbound-longdistance]
exten => _91NXXNXXXXXX,1,Dial(${OUTBOUND1}/${EXTEN:1})
About every other outbound call we make, we get the 'you must first dial a
1' message from our phone provider. It only seems to happen every other try
if we try to make multiple out bound

Shared storage between open Xen, VMware ESX, XenServer, KVM and a normal Linux...
Guys!
I have one fiber channel IBM storage (10T) and 8 HP Proliant servers with
32G of RAM on each and 1 HP with 4G of RAM.
My question is:
* How to use the same storage (block device) with all my different
virtualization servers simultaneously?
I have 2 open source Xen with CentOS 5.4, 2 VMWare ESX, 2 Citrix XenServer,
2 KVM powered by Ubuntu and 1 Debian exporting the IBM storage to a SAN

KVM virtual machine and SAN storage with FC
Hi Team,
Is there any body got any experience on setting up a virtualized environment in which the vm's can access a fiber channel SAN storage connected to host? the host access the SAN through its own HBA, but the hba is not recognized inside the virtual machines. Please let me know the step to go through this.

Quorum in distributed-replicate volume
I've configured 6 bricks as distributed-replicated with replica 2,
expecting that all active bricks would be usable so long as a quorum of
at least 4 live bricks is maintained.
However, I have just found
http://docs.gluster.org/en/latest/Administrator%20Guide/Split%20brain%20and%20ways%20to%20deal%20with%20it/
Which states that "In a replica 2 volume... If we set the client-quorum

Re: Oracle RAC in libvirt+KVM environment
Hi all,
I found a article about Hyper-V virtual Fiber Channel, I think this
will make Failover Cluster work if KVM has the same feature.
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh831413.aspx
Hyper-V uses NPIV for virtual Fiber Channel, I have read some article
about KVM NPIV, but how can I config it with libvirt? Any body can
show me some example?

The client quorum is configured per replica sub volume and not for the
entire volume.

Odd behavior of a CentOS 7 box after repair of an external RAID
I don't think I've seen this with CentOS 6 or 5, but I had to repair an
external RAID box this morning. The server, running CentOS 7, has an LSI
HBA card in it, and it's presented to the system as /dev/sdb. I shut off
the RAID controller, powered it off, did the repair, then plugged
everything back in (that includes the two fiber cables and the ethernet),
and brought the RAID back up.

Re: Oracle RAC in libvirt+KVM environment
Thanks.
I have read the link you provide, there is another link which tells me
to pass a NPIV discovery lun as a disk, this is seen as a local direct
access disk in windows. RAC and Failure Cluster both consider this
pass through disk as local disk, not a share disk, and the setup
process failed.
Hyper-v provides a virtual Fiber Channel implementation, so I
wondering if kvm has the same solution

AFR: Fail lookups when quorum not met
Hello,
In AFR we currently allow look-ups to pass through without taking into
account whether the lookup is served from the good or bad brick. We
always serve from the good brick whenever possible, but if there is
none, we just serve the lookup from one of the bricks that we got a
positive reply from.
We found a bug? [1] due to this behavior were the iatt values returned
in the lookup call

Quick answer: folding %val to 10 is OK, but, I would prefer it to be 'undef'
or even catch it in the verifier as it is a programmer/frontend error.
Details are in the second half of my reply. I would like to start
with the thought experiment you suggested, as it might

Yep, the explanation made sense. I hadn't considered the possibility of
alternating outages. Thanks!

Yes, user-mode stack switching API are somewhat similar to setjmp. Here are
links to a doc page and implementation, just in case you are curious:

PE-2850 to AX100 via Qlogic Card (QLA200 HBA) on CentOS 4.1
Hi list,
I have the choice to use RHEL4 or Centos4.x on a Dell PowerEdge2850 who
is linked to an AX100 storage system. My question is: does the QLA200
(the pci fiber channel card) driver will work on CentOS 4.1 . For now
the card is listed like this on CentOS 4.1:

Please forgive the (almost?) OT post. (and the fact that I need a clue-bat)
We've got a situation at one of our sites where a construction crew is
likely to dig up our conduit which houses some data fiber and one pair
of fiber used to tie a Definity 3gsi at a small office building to the
rest of the phone system (school district). We're using a pair of

Dear All,
The production server supports Intel Virtualization Technology. Processor is
an Intel Xeon 1.86 GHz Quad Core. 8 GB DDR2 memory.
There is also an Emulex LightPulse Fiber Channel HBA adapter.
The host operating system (Dom 0) is RHEL 5 x86 with Xen Virtualization
technology. Dom 0 kernel is 2.6.18-8.el5xen. I have recompiled the Dom 0
