Question regarding significance of a covariate in a coxme survival model
Hi, I am running a Cox Mixed Effects Hazard model using the library coxme. I am trying to model time to onset (age_sym1) of thought problems (e.g. hearing voices) (sym1). As I have siblings in my dataset, I have decided to account for this by including a random effect for family (famid). My covariate of interest is Mother's diagnosis where a 0 is bipolar, 1 is control, and 2 is major

AIC from coxme
Hi, I am running the following model: fit1.full <- coxme(Surv(age_sym1, sym1) ~ sex + lifedxm*sex + (1|famid), data=bip.surv) I would like to extract the AIC from that object to calculate the AICC. However, when I look at str(fit1.full) and summary(fit1.full) (pasted below) I don't see anything that would allow me to get pull the AIC out from that object. Is there a way to retrieve the

Survival analysis MLE gives NA or enormous standard errors
Hi, I am trying to fit the following model: sr.reg.s4.nore <- survreg(Surv(age_sym4,sym4), as.factor(lifedxm), data=bip.surv) Where age_sym4 is the age that a subject develops clinical thought problems; sym4 is whether they develop clinical thoughts problems (0 or 1); and lifedxm is mother's diagnosis: BIPOLAR, MAJOR DEPRESSION, or CONTROL. I am interested in whether or not

Incomplete Trio in TDT analysis
I am involved in a study where, as in most of life, men demonstrate themselves to be recalcitrant. So while we have many probands and most of their mothers we only have about 50% of the trios being complete. I have been running tdt and trio.types. It appears as if it is ignoring the duos. Sometimes a duo can be informative. For instance Father ..missing Mother 1/2 Proband 1/1 This duo shows that

Repeating tdt function on thousands of variables
I am using dgc.genetics to perform TDT analysis on SNP data from a cohort of trios. I now have a file with about 6008 variables. The first few variables related to the pedigree data such as the pedigree ID the person ID etc. Thereafter each variable is a specific locus or marker. The variables are named by a pattern such as "Genotype.nnnnn" with nnnnn corresponding to a number which

How to get OR and CI from GEE R package
Hi, I am fitting a GEE model using gee R package, but I am not sure how to get OR and its CI? Could anyone give me some hints? Here are some output: > gee.obj <- gee(Affection~Sibsex+Probandsex,id = FAMID,family = binomial, corstr = "independence",data =seldata) Beginning Cgee S-function, @(#) geeformula.q 4.13 98/01/27 running glm to get initial regression estimate

Problems with ADIT 600 - latency, loss, etc
I'm emailing this as the customer in this case, since my carrier appears to be completely unable to solve this. A brief rundown of the problem: - We have several voice lines going through the ADIT, of course into a VoIP type of arrangement. - Voice traffic will become choppy, even drop calls completely, at random but quite often. Modem calls (which we needed unfortunately) are a joke. -

Description of Zaptel/DAHDI E1 alarms
Hello, I am missing any description of zaptel/DAHDI alarms. The TE200 series user manual contains only a description of LEDs states. These alarms states are visible in zttool/dahditool or in astersick CLI (zap show status) and I wonder what is the real meaning of these alarms for E1 channel. Possible alarm states (based on zaptel.h 1.2): 1. No alarms 2. Recovering from alarm 3. In loopback

2x HFC ISDN Cards - SuSE 9.1 - Problems with making calls

I removed one card, for testing purposes and want to run this one card in TE-Mode. I only want to make a call with my Grandstream BT-101 over Asterisk via ISDN. Estimate "between-axes" vs "within-axes heterogeneity of multivariate matrices
Hi! My question(s) in the end might be silly but I am no expert on this, so here it goes: Noy-Meir (1973), Pielou (1984) and a few others have pointed to non-centered PCA being in some cases useful. They clearly explain that "it is the case" when multi-dimensional data display distinct clusters (which have zero, or near-zero, projections in some subset of the axes) and the task is

Help: RED alarm on Wildcard TE122 card
Hi, I have been trying to get a Wildcard TE122 card running here the last couple of days. libpri and zaptel are all installed and configured to E1 specs. The jumper on the card is on, so configured for E1 (I'm in Norway). When running zttool, I get 'Alarms: RED' on the single card installed. Other information in zttool: Current alarms: Red Alarm Sync source: Internally clocked

vectoring IRC / Jabber logins to AD?

If there's a better question to ask this question, please point me in that direction, and I'll be happy to do so Thanks -------------- next part -------------- An HTML
