latex(test, collabel=) returns wrong latex code?
Hello:
I'm working with a 2-dimensional table that looks sort of like test below.
I'm trying to produce latex code that will add dimension names for both the rows and the columns.
In using the following code, latex chokes when I include collabel='Vote' but it's fine without it.
The code below prouces the latex code further below. I'm confused by this, because it looks

Convert ftable to latex?
Dear list,
I cannot make the latex command to output a ftable objet the way I
want it. Is it posible?
I found a post in the archives saying that one should use the rgroup
and n.rgroup arguments to supply the row names, but so far I have been
unsuccessful.
This is what I have:

latex table question
Hi:
My head is spinning with this latex doc so hopefully after I align my tables to
the left of the page
my headache are going to be over. I always use:
\hspace*{-0.1in}
to move my figures horizontally to the left margin of the page but the table
below doesn't move at all,
but instead it gets sideways. Not sure if \begin{landscape} has something to do
with it or is just me.
I? hope someone

2 problems with latex.table (quantreg package) - reproducible
Dear all,
When using latex.table from the quantreg package, I don't seem to be able to set
table.env=FALSE: when I don't specify caption (as I think I should, when
understanding the R help rightly(?)), I get an error message, and when I
do so, of course I get one, as well.
The funny thing is, that a table is indeed produced in the first case,
so I get a nice tabular, but as I'm using

Latex problem in Hmisc (3.8-1) and Mac Os X with R 2.11.1
Dear all,
I did post this more or less identical mail in a follow up to another
question I posted, but under another heading. I try again, but now
under the correct header.
upon running this code (from the Hmisc library-latex function) I
believe the call to summary.formula is allright and produces wonderful
tables, but the latex command results in a correct formatted table but

Custom LaTeX tables
Hello,
I am very happy that I have Sweave and R to write my
papers. But I still have to do some tables by hand
since I have not found out how I can customize the
latex tables produced by R further (I mainly use
xtable()). Like for instance, I have a table which
needs an extra row every few rows as a group header
and sometimes I want some extra horizontal lines in
the table and also a multicolumn

Hello everybody,
i used xtable to get some latex output, which worked pretty well with
my latex document. But somewhere i missed the part where they explain
how to get these nice significance indicating *** into my latex
table. it just stops right after Pr(> |t|)
thanks in advance

Multiple R linear models into one Latex table
Dear community,
I had been looking for an easy way to produce latex tables from R
output. xtable() and the package apsrtable produce good outputs but they are not
exactly what I was looking for.
I wrote this code that generates regression tables from multiple R
linear models. I want to share it because it might be
useful for someone else, and because I would appreciate comments on how to

pagebreak in xtable and columns'width
Dear list,
I'm using the Sweave function in order to get some report.
Here one chunk:
<<echo=F,results=tex>>=
report<-lapply(repor, function(x) {
(print(xtable(data.frame(x[1:2,]), align="|l|rrr|"),floating=FALSE,tabular.
environment="longtable",include.colnames=FALSE,size="\\small"))

Outreg-like command?
It would be nice to have something like stata's outreg that lets regression
output go into a form like
Specification (1) Specification (2)
Var 1 coef(1,1) coef(1,2)
se(1,1) se(1,2)
Var 2 coef(2,1) coef(2,2)
se(2,1) se(2,2)
I don't think this can be done in xtable?

Sweave problem, with multicolumn tables from R to LaTeX
Hi there,
I have been using the example provided bellow for a while, and It was
working without any problem. Nevertheless, just since 2-3 days is not
working, probably because I did update.packages(). I have tried to
re-install the older versions of the packages Hmisc() and xtable(), but
still does not work. Can you run this example, and tell me if you got
the same problems?

How to latex tables?
Suppose I have a table constructed from structable or simply just an
object of class table. How can I convert it to a latex object? I looked
in RSiteSearch, but only found info about matrices or data frames.

For example, here is a table t2

I have issues regarding latex() from Hmisc and numSummary() from
Rcmdr. Here's an example:

formatting tables with long column names via package:xtable within Sweave
Hi,
I use the excellent Sweave tools for writing documents
but was wondering how to neatly print a data.frame
with long column headings.
I cant manage to do this via package:xtable.
Typically the labels that I would like use
for each column consist of more than one word,
but even with just one word,
the heading is often wider than the contents of the column.
So the number of columns that fits

xtable with \begin{tabular} and only.contents
I have found that I like having my captions and labels in my latex document
rather than having them contained in my xtable output file (I haven't fully
gone to sweave yet). I know I can do something like this by using the
'only.contents' argument in xtable. Unfortunately, the only.contents
argument also removes the \begin{tabular}{rrrrrr} & \end{tabular} (in the
example below) of

help
Hi:
I am going through some of the xtable examples and I can't make the one below work. I need to create a longtable on the fly keeping the column headers for all the pages and I thought this example could give some ideas on how to do it. I am using Sweave and xtable to create my tables and graphics. I wonder if someone could tell me what's wrong. Thanks

paste in xtable
Dear R help:
I am trying to use paste(), within an ifelse() statement to insert latex
commands into an object that has been created using xtable(). I cannot
make the strings behave as I would like, the '\t' is creating a tab, the
usual method of '\\t' is not working either - nor is any series of
backslashes. The xtable object, I think, automatically alters the
strings. How
