task md1_resync:9770 blocked for more than 120 seconds and OOM errors
Hello, yesterday night I had a problem with my server located at a hoster (strato.de). I couldn't ssh to it and over the remote serial console I saw "out of memory" errors (sorry, don't have the text). Then I had reinstall CentOS 5.5/64 bit + all my setup (2h work), because I have a contract with a social network and they will shut down my little card game if it is not

Xen 4.0.0 - dom0_mem differs from dom0''s memory
Hello, I just upgraded from Xen-3.3.1 to Xen-4.0.0. System is Gentoo, Hardware is DualCore AMD Athlon, 8GB RAM. The kernel was upgraded from OpenSUSE 2.6.27.29-0.1.1 to Gentoo-2.6.32-xen- r1. The first boot failed with an OOM error during kernel/initrd load, so I adjusted the dom0_mem option and had to increase it''s avalue from 256M to at least 400M until the dom0 could boot. At all

compaq R4000 update (hogging interrupts)
After a couple hours last night.... doing a "killall -SIGUSR1 cpuspeed" bumps up the /proc/cpuinfo information for cpu mhz to 2393 Mhz. I did notice a little increase after that. However, the machine is still sluggish. I did a "hdparm -c 1 /dev/hda" but really did not notice any difference. I tried to download fglrx64_6_8_0_8.16.20-1.x86_64.rpm from ati (also 8.20.8) and get

Software RAID1 issue
When a new system CentOS-4.4 is built the swap partition is always reversed... Note md3 below, the raidtab is OK, I have tried various raid commands to correct. swapoff -a raidstop /dev/md3 mkraid /dev/md3 --really-force swapon -a And then I get a proper ourput for /proc/mdstat, but when I reboot /proc/mdstat again reads as below, with md3 [0] [1] reversed. [root]# cat /proc/mdstat

File System corruption
Hi, Yesterday I nuked an old fat32 partition on my hard drive using fdisk. I just destroyed the partition and then created a new linux partition. Then I created an ext3 filesystem with the following command mkfs.ext3 -j /dev/hdc1 Everything seemed fine so I went ahead and moved all my music (MP3s and FLACS) onto that partition. This morning when I turn on my computer I can't mount that

Win95 share going in and out of df under smbfs?
Is this a known problem? I've seen this problem both under 2.0.6 and 2.0.7, on my Debian Linux system (kernel 2.2.14): A Win95 share that I mounted under smbfs will show up as mounted in df, and even contain the correct Used/Available info. If I do an 'ls' on the mountpoint, I see no files. If I 'umount' the share, I get the 'not mounted' error, but then no longer
