Hald
No manpage or other info in the system about the hald or hal. What little I did find on a RH site did not really enlighten me that much. Is there some obscure documentation somewhere about the hald and its assets and attributes? -- Snowman

What is hald doing?
The hald daemon is the second largest consumer of CPU time on my CentOS v4.3 system. Is there a way to determine what it is spending all this time on? Thanks.

Handling virtual disks on Xen
Hello everyone, Im starting to use Xen on a SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 SP2, but Im not quite happy yet with the virtual disk management. I still need to do a lot of research about that, but first I want to ask the community about a simple way to handle the guest machine disks. *Is there any way to increase/decrease a guest machine disk after the OS is installed? Can I have a dynamically

Anaconda doesn't support raid10
So after troubleshooting this for about a week, I was finally able to create a raid 10 device by installing the system, copying the md modules onto a floppy, and loading the raid10 module during the install. Now the problem is that I can't get it to show up in anaconda. It detects the other arrays (raid0 and raid1) fine, but the raid10 array won't show up. Looking through the logs

What do you think about this motherboard?
Hello all..... I would like to know if anyone here has had good experience with this Supermicro motherboard.....http://supermicro.com/products/motherboard/P4/E7221/P8SCT.cfm I am thinking about using it in an entry level mail and file server with a 3ware card and 200 GB SATA drives. Cost is a factor here otherwise I would go for an Opteron board instead. JC

So what happened, is that after another administrator had extended the disk from VMWare, I tried to extend it from the OS side. Everything went well,
