Drives Not Recognized on Dell Poweredge 1550 CentOs4 install
I have a new (used)Dell Poweredge 1550 server with 2 scsi drives (dual 1ghz
w/ 2048MB) that I'm attempting to install CentOs 4 onto and am having
problems getting the darn thing to recognize the hard drives. (it's worth
noting that it's running RAID 0 and the RAID bios recognizes both drives as
being in "optimal" state). I start the installation process and all is

Hi all,
I've got a server that I'm rebuilding and I've been given an Adaptec
2100S single channel scsi card to use. Problem is I can't find drivers
for CentOS 4 anywhere.
So far I've tried the adaptec drivers on the install CD but when it
comes time to use disc druid it doesn't see the array that I've setup.

testing wireless security
I have been playing around with 3 ath based FreeBSD boxes and seem to
have got everything going via WPA and a common PSK for 802.11x
auth. However, I want to have a bit more certainty about things
working properly.
What tools do people recommend for sniffing and checking a wireless network ?
In terms of IDS, is there any way to see if people are trying to
bruteforce the network ? I see

MD5 Collisions...
Hi everyone,
Not sure if you've read http://www.win.tue.nl/hashclash/SoftIntCodeSign/ .
should some kind of advisory be sent to advise people not to rely solely on MD5 checksums? Maybe an update to the man page is due ? :
"
MD5 has not yet (2001-09-03) been broken, but sufficient attacks have
been made that its security is in some doubt. The attacks on MD5 are in

using upscode2 driver with Powerware 5119 RM
I've got a Powerware 5119 RM UPS.
driver.list says to use "genericups upstype=20", however I know this UPS
supports the UPS Code II protocol, so I wanted to use the upscode2 driver. It
took some hacking but finally it works.
I'm using NUT 2.4.1 and upscode2 driver version 0.87 (however the latest r2350
version of upscode2.c isn't significantly different, so I think all
