how to recover a list structure
I am experiencing some problems at working with lists at high level. In the following "coef" contains the original DWT coefficients organized in a list. Thorugh applying the following two commands: coef.abs <- lapply(unlist(coef,recursive=FALSE,use.names =TRUE),abs) coef.abs.sorted <- sort(unlist(coef.abs),decreasing=TRUE) I get vector "coef.abs.sorted" containing

How to interpret a result based on wmtsa
Dear R family I have a question as to how to get an answer I want to derive with the outcome from R-package, "wmtsa". My concern is that I want to decide equivalent degrees of freedom (EDOF) based on the following outcome. library(wmtsa) W <- wavMODWT(X, wavelet="s8") z1 <- wavEDOF(W) print(z1) #Intentionally, I do not assign n.levels and specify SDF. How to plot multiple graphs each with multiple y variables
I am new to R and have a problem that I haven't been able to find the answer to in the guides or online. I have multiple datasets, D1, D2, D3, D4, D5, D6, D7 and D8, and I would like to produce two plots side by side using mfrow.  The first plot should contain data from D1-D4, the second should contain D5-D8. I can plot these separately using the code, par(mfrow=c(1,1))

Data Extraction - benchmark()
Hi Berend, I see you are one of the contributors to the rbecnhmark package. I am sorry that I am bothering you again. I have tried to run your code (slightly tweaked) involving the benchmark function, and I am getting the following error message. What am I doing wrong? Error in benchmark(d1 <- s1(df), d2 <- s2(df), d3 <- s3(df), d4 <- s4(df), : could not find function

Hi R Users, How to use the function polygon() together with the package scatterplot3d? I am trying to color below of the curves defined for the function density(). I tried to use the site: R GRAPH GALLERY as tutorial. I tried to adapt the example of this page: [figure]: http://addictedtor.free.fr/graphiques/RGraphGallery.php?graph=30 [code]:

[PATCH] Re: klibc barfs on m68k syscall interface
tag 334917 = patch thanks Hi, I?ve fixed the m68k syscall of klibc and made it able to use six-argument syscalls like mmap2. However, I could not yet fully test it (only mostly; opendir() specifically fails) due to: http://gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=47533 @m68k porters: Please have a look at the gcc bug as well. @klibc: Please apply the patch, it?s better than what we have, and

syslinux.efi problem TFTPing ldlinux.e64 on hyper-v gen2 netboot
I've found a problem, and I think it is in syslinux (specifically when it tries to load ldlinux.e64 under hyper-V). I have a physical computer with a Gigabyte GA-P85-D3 motherboard that successfully pxeboots using the EFI images, and I hold that up as exhibit 1 that my deployment environment works. It also implies that the syslinux.efi image works in some cases, but not in all. My Hyper-V

[PATCH]xentrace_format doesn''t work on 64 bit arch
The xentrace_format script doesn''t work on x86/64. Python pads the input structure because the first field is 32 bits and the next is 64 bits, whereas x86-32 doesn''t pad. The quick fix is to read the cpu id separately as a 32bit value, then read the rest of the trace record. Here is a little patch that does that. Tested on x86/32 SMP and x86/64. Question on getting a data from dataframe
I am working with amino acid sequences changing each letter to numbers.I have a data from acf transformation called Zm as shown below. I would like to get Indices D1 to D10 and then create F1 to F10 as indicated below. Is there anyway I can do that in R without typing each of them one by one. For example to get D1 to D3, I have to type D1<-c(Zm[[1]])[1][[1]], D2<-c(Zm[[2]])[1][[1]], and

How-To extract data from a matrix of lists subject to a set of given constraints
My goal is to store the DWT coefficients from a number of time series in such a way to be able to extract subsets satisfying giben conditions. I have defined the following 11 matrices whose x-axis represent time intervals and y-axis represent the number of time series: MS <- 11 d1.mat <- matrix (data=list(), nrow=TotNumCycles, ncol=2^(MS-1)) d2.mat <- matrix (data=list(),
