compare two data frames of different dimensions and only keep unique rows
Dear list,
I am still struggling with something that should be easy: I compare two data frames with a lot of common rows and want to keep only rows that are NOT in both data frames, unique.
Here are an example of these data frame.
reported <-
structure(list(Product = structure(c(1L, 1L, 1L, 1L, 2L, 2L, 3L, 4L, 5L, 5L), .Label = c("Cocoa", "Coffee C", "GC",

compare two data frames with same columns names but of different dimensions
Dear List,
I want to compare and return the rows which are NOT in the two data frames. Classic methods don't work as the df have NOT the same dimensions.
Here are one example of my df:

structure(list(Product = structure(c(1L, 1L, 1L, 1L, 2L, 2L,
3L, 4L, 5L, 5L), .Label = c("Cocoa", "Coffee C", "GC", "Sugar No 11",

Negbin Error Warnings
Hi,
I ran a negative binomial regression (NBR) using the Zelig-package and the negbin model.
When I then try to use the simumlation approach using the setx () and sim() functions to calculate expected values
and first difference for different levels of one of my independent variables, I get 50 errors warnings, telling me that the calculation rpois produced NAs. However, the data I use

[cfe-dev] Create a BlockAddress array from LLVM Pass
Sorry for emailing both group.
As I will have a constant array of BlockAddress, what type I should use in Constant Array for its ArrayType declaration?
I am creating the list in following way:
unsigned int nBr = fit->second.size();
llvm::Constant *listBA[nBr];
unsigned int Idx = 0;
for (std::set<llvm::BasicBlock *>::iterator it = fit->second.begin();
it != fit->second.end(); ++it)

DAHDI/ZAP overlap dialing
Hi,
I have a PRI euroisdn link between an Alcatel PBX and Asterisk.
I'm having some trouble with overlap dialing.
Suppose I dial '874053' from an Alcatel extension ('7034') where '87' is an Alcatel prefix of type "ARS Prof.Trg Grp Seiz.with overlap".
I'm expecting Asterisk to receive '1004053' (where '100' is a prefix which always shows

multiple plot in odfWeave
Hello R users,
I found the odfWeave package to create an odf document. It seems to be a
very nice tool.
So i tried to used it to create a report with multiple plot:
I create an odt file with some code inside:
I connect to a mysql database
I get a list of projects
foreach project I would like to make a plot (a map exactly)
then in a R console I use the odfweave (inFile, outFile) function.

I have a dataset with multiple columns. Some of the columns represent
independent variables, some represent dependent variables. I would like
to run the same analyses on a fixed set of independent variables,
changing only the dependent variable, e.g.

y3-y4=x1+x2+x3
y5-y6=x1+x2+x3, etc.
I know I can write a function to perform the analyses, however in order

Understanding of Johansen test.
Dear all,
I am struggling to understand the johansen test procedure in the context of co-integration in time series. Yes I understand that this forum is not directly statistics related but still I am posting here hoping that I would get som help.
The error correction representation of a VAR[p] model can be written as:
Delta y[t] = A[0]*y[t-1] + A[1]*Delta y[t-1] +..............

Drawing dendrogram
Dear all,
I would like to draw a dendrogram and mark some parts/branches (by using "segments") including their labels. If I draw it without specifying the length of x axix, I am able to do that (as in My dendrogram 1 of the following codes). However, if I want to specify the x axix, I am not able to draw marking line (by using "segments") including labels (as in My dendrogram

How to get two y-axises in a bar plot?
Hi,
I have measured two response variables (y1, y2) at each treatment level
(x = 0, 1.5 or 3). Now I would like to show the y1 and y2 against x in a
bar plot. However, y1 and y2 differ in scale so I need two y-axises, one
on the left side and one on the right side (and I dont want to
standardize my responses). This is fairly easy if you want to show
points,lines etc, but gets more complicated

lattice xyplot - formatting of multiple Y variables when using subgroups
Hi all,
Using xyplot I want to print to Y variables (y1, y2) versus X, conditional
on the group.
How can I obtain a line (type="l") for one relationship (ie. y1 ~ x) and
points (type="p") for the other (y2 ~ x) ?
library(lattice)
# create some sample data
df<-data.frame(group=as.factor(c(rep("a",4), rep("b",4))), # grouping

[sem package] path.diagram() ignores the edge.label argument ..?
hi,
I plot path diagrams with the path.diagram() function of the sem
package in combination with the graphviz application.
Now I want the graphviz code for a path-plot with the actual
standardized coefficients on the arrows (not the names).
I tried to add edge.labels="values" as an argument to path.diagram()
but it's just ignored.
can anyone help me on that?

update() ignores object
Hi all,
I'm extracting the name of the term in a regression model that
dropterm specifies as the least significant one, and I'm assigning
this name to an object. However, when I use update(), it ignores this
object. Is there a way I can make it not ignore it? A reproducible
example is below:
