Collapsing across trials
Hello,
My ultimate goal is a repeated measures (mixed model) ANOVA, however,
my present question is about how to reorganize my data into the format
that the ANOVA commands expect. In particular, how to collapse across
trials. (I am using the tutorial at
[http://personality-project.org/r/r.anova.html] for the mixed model
ANOVA)
The data I am using looks like this. A subject sees 10 trials per

Line similarity
Folks,
This is probably a "help me google this properly, please"-type of question.
In TIBCO Spotfire, there is a procedure called "line similarity". I use this to determine which observations show a growing, stable or declining pattern... sort of like a mini-regression on the time-line for each observation.
So of the input is

Subtracting timeseries objects
Sorry to keep posting but I want to do this right and I'm hoping for
some pointers
I now have two time series objects which I need to subtract.
Unfortunatly the two series dont have the same sample rates.
When I try to subtract them
avgSub<-avg1-avg2
The time series object is clever enough to object.
So I guess I need to write a function for subtraction of the time series
objects which

using reshape to do ANOVA mixed models
Hi,
I just started with R and I found that there are many options to rearrange
the data to do mixed models.
I want to use the reshape function. I have 2 between subject variables and
one within.
I was able to change the data structure but still - the result of the aov
functions are calculating everything as a within subject.
the table looks like this:

Nvidia maximum pixel clock issue in kmod-nvidia-384.98
Hi everyone,
On CentOS 7 I'm running into an issue with the latest nvidia driver
from elrepo: kmod-nvidia-384.98-1.el7_4.elrepo.x86_64
This driver version seem to introduce issue in detecting video modes
when a monitor is connected using DVI. As soon as the machine attempts
to start X, nothing happens and the monitor goes into sleep mode
reporting that it has 'no signal'.
It is

Setting Resolution Modes in xorg.conf
I asked on the Gentoo forums, and surprisingly haven't gotten an answer.
When I run xrandr, I get this output:
Code:
Screen 0: minimum 2960 x 1050, current 2960 x 1050, maximum 2960 x 1050
default connected 2960x1050+0+0 0mm x 0mm
2960x1050 50.0*
I'm using TwinView with a 1680x1050 monitor and a 1280x1024 monitor. And I want to set up some different modes in xrandr. When

[PATCH 1/2] lib: Add CLEANUP_FREE macro which automatically calls 'free' when leaving scope.
From: "Richard W.M. Jones" <rjones@redhat.com>
Use the macro like this to create temporary variables which are
automatically cleaned up when the scope is exited:
{
CLEANUP_FREE (char *, foo, strdup (bar)); /* char *foo = strdup (bar) */
...
// no need to call free (foo)!
}
On GCC and LLVM, this is implemented using __attribute__((cleanup(...))).

about prediction with a factor
Hi,
I don't know how to make prediction with a factor in the linear model.
Say
yd=c(1,2,3,4,5)
> sl=c(2,3,4,5,6)
> sex=c("male","male","female","female","male")
> sex=factor(sex)
> m=lm(sl~yd+sex+sex:yd)
How to make a prediction with new data like yd=c(4,5,6,7,8) for male and
female separately ?
Thank you very

Does CentOS support dual graphics cards with 2 monitors each?
I have a user who wants to have 4 monitors attached to his CentOS 6.4 system. I know that you
can't use both on-board video and a PCI video card at the same time, but what about two PCI
video cards? The system seems to recognize them as shown by the lspci -v output below, but
I can't get Xorg to use the second card. Has anyone done this? If so, what is the trick to
get it to work?

Super Pro 9.4 / USAF question
Hi all!
I tried to install and run Jane's USAF and Super Pro 9.4 with no luck. The game installs fine, but I cannot make it work under Linux (P-IV 2.5 + 1Gb RAM + NVidia 440Go (64Mb) with Ubuntu 9.10 + Wine 1.1.35 + NVidia 96.43.13). The game runs fine in this very same computer under Windows XP, and my computer exceeds by far the game's requirements.
The original program (Jane's USAF)

[PATCH v3 5/7] drm/nouveau: utilize subconnector property for DP
Since DP-specific information is stored in driver's structures, every
driver needs to implement subconnector property by itself.
