odfWeave: Some questions about potential formatting options
Hello All,
Learning to use the odfWeave package. I really like the package. It has good documentation, makes some very nice looking tables, and seems to have lots of options for customizing output.
There are a few things I'd like to do that don't seem to be covered in the documentation though. So I'm not sure if they're possible or not.
Here's a list of some things I'd

odfTable
Hello,
I am using the odfWeave packages;
I draw a table using the function odfTable:
partCols <- gsub(?\\.?, ? ?, names(partenaires))
odfTable(partenaires, useRowNames = FALSE, colnames=partCols)
it's working as I have a table in my output file.
I would like to know how to change the background color for the header
cells.
I assuming i have to use tableStyles, but I don't understand

odfWeave : change of text style of output is ignored
Dear list,
The output of my embedded code sections come out in the style "ttBlue" wich
is Times New Roman and Blue when I open document. I would like to change
this to a fixed witdth font, smaller and less blue by using style
definitions in the document, but it really does not affect the output.
I tried including

MiniMagick, and processing thumbnails...
I have a requirement that can''t be that outrageous....
I want to be able to upload an image, and have multiple thumbnails be
created for each. Then, I want to post process each image (the main
image plus the thumbnails) to add borders. The trick is that the
borders need to be different for each image. I thought I could use
the after_resize handler, but when I try to add a border to

Cross Tables with odfTable in odfweave
Hi, I've been trying to prepare some crosstables for some survey
questions for a client. I have been using the CrossTable function in the
gmodels package. However, this command only seems to be able to create
CrossTables in text documents.
I've been trying to use odfTable in odfweave to create tables that are
standalone objects in the document that I can then convert to other

odfWeave Version 0.4.4
Version 0.4.4 of odfWeave is available from CRAN. A Windows binary
should be available shortly.
This version requires base R version 2.3.1 or greater.
Changes from the last version include
- Non-English character sets are handled better. For example, Chinese
characters can be included in R code. See the file "testCases.odt" in

odfWeave problem
Hi,
I'm trying to customize some formating for a table using odfWeave. I'm
having some trouble getting the formatting to work. I've defined the
following format defns:
origStyleDefs <- getStyleDefs()
StyleDefs=origStyleDefs
StyleDefs$ArialLeftBold$parentStyleName=''
StyleDefs$ArialLeftBold$type='Paragraph'
StyleDefs$ArialLeftBold$textAlign='left'

odfTable: how to escape <
Dear All,
I'm appreciating odfWeave as a nice reporting tool, but I had some pain
in producing tables with odfTable command
where the first column began with < or > such as in age class heading,
for example:
<35
35-39
40-49
50-50
>60
In this case, to avoid a content.xml error, I had to change <35 in less
than 35 and > 60 in over 60.
Anyone knows how to escape those

odfweave table styles
Hello List,
Does anyone have examples of custom formatting of tables in odfweave? I know
there is an example of this in the formatting.odt file that comes with the
package, but running that through odfweave gives the following error:
Error: chunk 13 (label=showTableStyles)
Error in names(x) <- value :
'names' attribute [1] must be the same length as the vector [0]

Element.show - element.style.display=''''
All
Head up.
I found that when I had a hidden DIV (using css - display: none) which I
wanted to Effect.Appear on some event (although the underlying problem seems
to be with Element.show()), I had to make an amendment to the underlying
prototype.js code by changing :
element.style.display = '''' -> element.style.display = ''block'';
I think the problem was

Sanity check of my Draggable code
Hi all
I''m just getting started with script.aculo.us, and prototype etc.
My first mini-project was to use Draggable to adjust the column widths
in a page. Here''s the code (which seems to work) and any feedback would
be appreciated - especially if I''m doing things the wrong way.
Here''s the code:
var colSpacer

Autocomplete Error w/Version 1.5_pre4
I recently updated to version 1.5_pre4 to use the excellent in-place
editor, however, I''m now seeing a bug with AutoCompletion.
When text is entered in the text field for auto completion, the
auto_complete div is not updated (but the server does receive the
request and return a response). Upon removing focus from the text
field, 2 instances of the following error can be seen in both

Troubleshooting inplace editor
I can''t get the inplace editor to do anything for me. The output appears as
regular formated, unclickable text. Maybe I am missing something simple.
1. I just downloaded script.aculo.us <http://script.aculo.us> 1.5_rc3 and
copied it to my javascript folder.
2. To set up a simple test, I created a new test page containing only the
copied from demo1 from the script.aculo.us

getDimensions() fails for elements with ancestors with display: none
Prototype v1.6.0.2
If any of an element''s ancestors are hidden, Element.getDimensions()
returns misleading values. In order to address this in my own project,
I made the following modification:
getDimensions: function(element) {
element = $(element);
var display = element.getStyle(''display'');
+ var hiddenAncestor = element.ancestors().any(function(e)

Creating a scrolling effect with slider
I''m currently working on a method to implement a scroller for a div
using a slider. I need to do this as an alternative to making a stylish
flash scroller with content.
The main advantage of this method is to allow the ability to style the
sliding elements cross browser (and maybe as a future add on... the
ability to have a scroll.to for a scrolling div).
This is my first attempt at

Contingency Table - output to odfWeave not working for matrix
Hi guys I'm hoping someone can help me with this. It should be easy but it seems to get stuck for no obvious reason! I am trying to set a report up in odfWeave so that we can re-run the same analysis at 3 time points as the data matures and provide an 'instant' report.
To simplify the situation we have two pieces of data: site_id (numerical value 1-9) and reaction (categorical Y or
