Why F value and Pr are not show in summary() of an aov() result?
I have the following code. I'm wondering why summary() doesn't show F value and Pr? Hi, I'm trying to set up R to run a simulation of two populations in which every 3.5 days, the initial value of one of the populations is reset to 1.5. I'm simulation an experiment we did in which we fed Daphnia populations twice a week with algae, so I want the initial value of the algal population to reset to 1.5 twice a week to simulate that feeding. I've use for loops and if/else

estimating the starting value within a ODE using nls and lsoda
All- I am interested in estimating a parameter that is the starting value for an ODE model. That is, in the typical combined fitting procedure using nls and lsoda (alternatively rk4), I first defined the ODE model: minmod <- function(t, y, parms) { G <- y[1] X <- y[2] with(as.list(parms),{ I_t <- approx(time, I.input, t)$y dG <- -1*(p1 + X)*G +p1*G_b dX <-

Example scripts for R Manual
Hi, I am wondering if some experienced users would help put the ready-to-run code of the examples in the manuals. It would help new users learn R faster by putting all the examples in an ready-to-run R script file. Can somebody help do so sometime and post the code along with the pdf manuals? http://cran.r-project.org/manuals.html Regards, Peng

About R memory management?
I'm wondering where I can find the detailed descriptions on R memory management. Understanding this could help me understand the runtime of R program.
