xYplot customizing y-axis scaling
Dear list, using the packages Hmisc and lattice i produced some nice xYplots. However, since the data range of the conditioning variable is very big, i need to define more than one y-scale for the plot (in some panels you just see a flat line of data points very close to the x-axis), e.g. different y-axis scales for the different rows of the plot. Is there a way to do so? Thanks, Henning

Urgent hardware help needed
Hello all, First of all, sorry to beg... If anyone has the ability to get me some specific hardware quickly, this would be incredibly helpful right now... The server which runs all my stuff blew its motherboard yesterday, and I have since replaced the CPU, motherboard, memory, and case. Unfortunately, the memory appears to be flaky, and it's apparently hard to find the appropriate type

I have been trying to figure out how to get superscript/subscript in the main title for a plot. I have tried various approaches and suggestions but none of them work. I am trying to get the following as the main title of my plot: Emission of CO2 with time (but note that 2 is subscript.) I have tried plot(main="Emission of C"expression(O[2]) "with time") and I get error

checksum errors after online''ing device
Dear all As we wanted to patch one of our iSCSI Solaris servers we had to offline the ZFS submirrors on the clients connected to that server. The devices connected to the second server stayed online so the pools on the clients were still available but in degraded mode. When the server came back up we onlined the devices on the clients an the resilver completed pretty quickly as the

wireframe zlim option
Hello, I would like to plot a wireframe of a function which is defined on the unit square using the lattice library (for trellis-like plots). The plot contains z-values of about 100 (only in the neighborhood of zero) although most of the z-values are in the range of -let's say- 0 to 10. If I evaluate this function on an equidistant grid of 25 points on the unit square the plot quality is not

My problem here is that I have trouble solving the equations to get the reduced form so I can run
