AJAX in conjunction with partials
All,
Trying to clear up some confusion on my part.
If I make an Ajax call using Ajax.Request and in the controller method
that I call, I do a render (:partial => ''whatever.rhtml''), should I
expect that ''whatever.rhtml'' will be rendered in the browser or not?
Put another way, is it in any way reasonable for me to think that

Re: blockcommit --pivot does not succeed in conjunction with qemu 5.0.0
Maybe:
from 6.3.0 release notes:
- qemu: Fix domain restore from a block device
When using namespaces, libvirt was unable to restore a domain from a
block device because libvirt tried to relabel the device inside the
namespace while QEMU was given FD to the block device in the host.
cheers, t.

bind segfault in conjunction with dbus - what to change?
Hi all,
I have a problem running bind on C5.4 when the messagebus
service is activated. When I switch off the dbus message
service bind runs well. With dbus activated bind crashes
with a segfault.
How can I get rid of this error? What shall I change?
SElinux (the source of most unexpedted things) is switched
off.
Following versions are installed:
bind-9.3.6-4.P1.el5

Problems using NLS in conjunction with non-parameteric bootstrapping
Hello,
I have been successfully using nls to fit a non-linear, self-limiting
function to several sets of data collected in 2010 (example found below).
To generate confidence intervals for parameter estimates, I've been
attempting to bootstrap my sample. Unfortunately, I have meet with
singularity gradients and failures to converge. I have altered maxiter and

blockcommit --pivot does not succeed in conjunction with qemu 5.0.0
Hello one and all.
Got a problem with libvirt 6.2.0 and qemu 5.0.0.
virsh blockcommit mymachine vda --active --verbose --pivot
works until it shows [100%] but it never actually pivots. It just sits
there. Is this a known issue with 6.2.0 and i should
try 6.3.0? For now i switched back to qemu 4.2.0 and this seems to solve
the issue too. Any hints?
Ahoi! t.

I am trying to get the debug version of httpd so I can use it in
conjunction with gdb. I am having a hard time getting them, and they don't
seem to be in the standard epel-debuginfo repository. What should I do?

SmbClient Kills NT 4 in conjunction w/ Amanda (Revisited)
Ok.. I've tried tweaking several settings on Samba (1.9.18p4) in order to
try to keep it
from killing several machines that get backed up weekly via Amanda (using
smbclient).
What always appears to happen is that for one reason or another, Samba is
booking
along copying files and then all of a sudden NT stops communication and
smbclient ends
up hanging forever (regardless of the keepalive

incorrect behavior: hide unreadable option in conjunction with user ACLs
Hi guys,
we are using samba 3.0.4 as domain member server (security=ADS) in our
Active Directory Domain. In order not to compromise social peace, we use
POSIX ACLs in conjunction with the hide unreadable option to hide
folders/files from users.
I'll show you an example to explain the problem:

wrtiteBin in conjunction with seek : the position in the file is not good when writing
Dear RHelp-list,
?I want to write at a specific position in a file without reading all
the file
because it is very large and I cannot read it in my RAM. But I miss
something
about the use of the command writeBin in conjunction with seek. In the
example bellow the seek
commands works well with the readBin command but not with writeBin, the

command write from the beginning of the file

Use of axis() in conjunction with plot(..., axes=F)
Colleagues
On occasion, I want to control either tick marks or labels in axes
different from the defaults created with "axes=T" in the plot
command. If I invoke "axes=F" and axis(n), I can do so. However,
the axes produced by axis() differ slightly from those produced
within plot. I have "bty" in par set to "l" (i.e., left and bottom

cacheSweave fails when used in conjunction with rjags

I use the excellent packages rjags and cacheSweave, and unfortunately
seem to have found an incompatibility between them. Below are a

the problem:

sigma ~ dunif(0,100)

Kernel Ooops probably in conjunction with lvm
Hello,
I've got a rather strange setup over here with about 6 ext3 partitions, one 50gig lvm partition and one 2 gig software-raid1 partition running under a heavily patched 2.4.10 kernel (various netfilter patches, freeswan, current lvm patch (1.0.1-rc4 and current ext3 patch). Furthermore I have all of those neccessary filesystem tools, so don't tell me to upgrade :-)

rsync in conjunction with the --link-dest option does not output deleted files
Hi,
I want to use rsync to make daily backups using hard-links in this way:
rsync -av --delete --link-dest=../backup_old ./source/. ./backup_new
This works great, but the problem is, that rsync does not show correctly
what action it performs (-v option). It shows correctly all new and
changed files/folders, but it does not show files that were deleted.
This works only if I do not use the

auto.key in xyplot in conjunction with panel.text
All,
I can't seem to get auto.key to work properly in an xyplot that is employing
panel.text. Specifically, I often change the default grouping colors then
use auto.key accordingly, but for some reason the same functionality isn't
working for this different type of plot. Any help much appreciated.
Cheers,

documentation bug for --daemon "use chroot" in conjunction with -o and -g
Hi all,
Tripped over a documentation bug. I'm guessing the behavior I've found
isn't a bug in itself as it's kind of implied by chroot (unless the
/etc/passwd db is read *before* you do the chroot call), so I'm calling
it a documentation bug.
The Setup:
System A: running rsync --daemon from xinetd, configured with a
read-only share.
System B: syncing a local directory
