Dear R users, I have a matrix with 2 columns with the variables: "daughter index", "mother index". I would like to draw a network digraph using this data, where each daughter is connected to a mother and between the connections inlcude a circle with the information on the indices ("daughter index", "mother index"): i.e. something similar to graphs

Drawing a graph with vertices and edges using tcl/tk
Dear all; I would like to draw a graph with vertices and edges, and I guess tcl/tk would be appropriate. I don't know tcl/tk but have googled for a 10-page (or so) introduction to 'getting started with tcl/tk in R' but without any luck. - Does anyone know of the existence of such a document or any other web-based material on the subject? - Does anyone have an (informative) piece of

Script to Authenticate User and Dial Out
Hello. I'm looking for a script that I can use that will ask users for a password, and then let them call any extension on the asterisk server. Does anyone know of a premade script that can do this, or a resource I could use to make my own? Thanks, Josh

How do I juxtapose two lattice graphs with common X axes such that the X axes line up?
Hello, I would like to juxtapose two lattice graphs with common X axes such that the X axes line up. I am using plot right now but the edges are not neat and it would be nice if I could just draw 1 X axis and not both of them. Here is my code: upper<-bwplot(SignalUsed~as.factor(AllNormalHitsNamesCount),data=NmlOverviewArray2, xlab="", ylab="Intensity of Individual

Compiling Rgraphiz on Windows 7 64bit with R-2.13.0
Hi all, I am trying to compile Rgraphiz on Windows 7 64bit with R-2.13.0. I have installed Rtools213.exe from [1]. The 64bit packages in [2] provided me with the 64 bit version of graphviz. After intalling the binary version Rgraphviz 1.30 (in 32bit) it complains (as expected) that: > library(Rgraphviz) Error: package 'Rgraphviz' is not installed for 'arch=x64' I

preload test data from factory_girl
Is there a way to preload common data made by factory_girl to speed up tests instead of recreating these common data at the beginning of every test. For example, I want to have 10 users premade at the beginning of every test. I found this http://agilewebdevelopment.com/plugins/factory_data_preloader But the page says that this plugin does not "play nice" with autotest. But I use

RDOC and dot on mac
All, This is probably a bit more of a mac question, but here goes. (Admission: I posted this to ruby-talk as well....) I am trying to use rdoc -d to generate class diagrams on a mac running Tiger (OS X 10.4) for a rails app. I managed to get dot installed, but now am running into problems with dot looking for libraries that either do not exist or are apparently in the wrong place. I probably made

inexpensive / reasonably priced workstation / server development box
We are testing some simple low bandwidth video and audio broadcasting using real server and client softwares. So, for quick check and simplicity, we were plunking along TESTING on an 3.2GHz XP box and I noticed frames were getting dropped on the broadcast just for resizing a window on the screen during the session. Talk about totally lame... I know this can be a big deal and start conflicting

[LLVMdev] Extracting an AST to Graphviz using Clang
Dears, I am new to this list, and hope this question is pertinent to this mailing list. I have been trying to use Clang to extract an AST from my source code, but without success when attempting to do so with Graphviz. I created a thread on Stackoverflow recently in hope any could help me [1], but the question is actually pretty simple. I keep getting Stmt::viewAST is only available in debug

vmware 1.0.4 lock up on install
I am not having a good experience with vmware. Twice I have tried it today and it locks up my machine. First attempt was to install centos 4.5 i386. It told me it could not find anything to install on. After a post to the list I was instructed to not do typical, but custom and select LSILogic as the controller. I did and I got past that point. I then goto into an install with 6 minutes remaining

loadNamespace and useDynLib
I am considering a package with a namespace (Rgraphviz from Bioc). I essentially want to have some error handling for loading the dll, something like wrapping it into tryCatch or similar (reason: see below). Right now I am loading the dynamic libraries by useDynLib in my NAMESPACE file. When I look at the code from loadNamespace, I have the impression that what I want is impossible

Rgraphviz and R 2.9 in ubuntu jaunty
Dear people, I'm new here, so this is my first try. I have ubuntu 9.04 installed with R 2.8 (which surprises me because I realized that the last version R 2.9 is available but in the Synaptic Package Manager 2.8 appears as the last one). I have also graphviz 2.20.2. I have been trying to install Rgraphviz either from R running "biocLite("Rgraphviz")" and from the shell
