i have per ip accounting setup and running.i can see per ip usage by executing iptaccount -l tablename but i''m wondering if there''s a way to export this data to a file, or maybe into a database? PS: this data goes back to 0 on "shorewall restart" as well as system reboot. is there a way to prevent that? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ October Webinars: Code for Performance Free Intel webinars can help you accelerate application performance. I think I experienced counters resets after restarts... At least with Shorewall 4.5.4 And there are value cycling anyway when it reaches the max value. Personally, I made a simple script that dumps the values+timestamp in a file. Next time it is run, I dump the new values+timestamp, and do a: (new-old)/(new_ts-old_ts) = bytes/s. while handling the new<old, in which case I put the previous bandwidth as new. Then I send all that to rrdtool. rrdtool is supposed to handle cycling values, but it refused to do it for me...
